It's beautiful, thanks for posting an update I've just planted a Mayleen and watched your videos over the years of yours, really lovely ! Hope you feel better soon
Looking forward to this years. Quick question do they first open more white coloured then turn pink? Mines started to flower and was labelled Mayleen , same flower shape as yours but as the buds open they are more white
Hi Lisa. Not sure exactly but I have some photos from 2012 where it's mostly railings rather than Clematis so it was probably 2 or 3 years old by then. I would guess about 15 years old but it may be a little older.
I'm afraid not. More like 3 to 4 weeks flowering time around mid April to mid May in my part of the world. I grow a yellow leaved Jasmine through it to add contrast to the dark purple summer foliage of the clematis and to provide white flowers and a heady scent during July. There are also nice subtle tints in autumn as the foliage dies back for winter.
Thank you!
Stunning as always! Lovely to revisit this, thanks. Hope your cold leaves quickly.
Thanks. I feel almost obliged to do an update every year but it's always a pleasure to do.
@@improvesheffield4824 Well, I hope you only do it because you want to, but it certainly is gorgeous, and appreciated.

Thanks. Good luck with your Mayleen. I hope it gives you as much joy as I've got from mine.
I’m speachless
Lovely

What year did you plant this lovely clematis? Trying to get an idea how long it took to grow this big?

Just curious of flowering period? Would it be about 4 months or so? Lovely plant

@@improvesheffield4824 ah good to know, I’m in London so I imagine it’d be similar. Thanks for the response 👍
Is that just a single plant, or do you have a few planted along the run?
This is just one plant in a large pot, the size and shape of a Belfast Sink. It’s a very rampant climber. Thanks for your comment.
