As an ex-Cathedral chorister, can I congratulate Wells Cathedral Choir and its Director of Music Malcolm Archer on this magnificent rendition of one of my own favourites.
Meditation Twenty obviously the second verse. First four lines of the first verse psalm 47, last two lines of the first verse psalm 24. Magnificent anthem, every year during Ascensiontide I listen to this anthem on youtube as many times as I can.
As a tenor, this is a wonderful piece of music that astounds the senses!

Just sang this in my final service in Ely Cathedral! Very emotional moment.
Voces de Angeles voces de paz y consolacion en medio de la crisis mundial, gracias continuen orando...
Sang this with our choir of St. Luke's Episcopal Church for the dedication of our new Moller Pipe Organ. It sent chills up my spine!
One of my favorite anthems for the Feast of the Ascension. Thank you for posting.
Heard this tonight in St. George's Church, Belfast, for the Ascension Day Eucharist, absolutely jubilant.
Just sang as a tenor this lovely anthem at this year’s Ascension Day and the following Sunday’s services. A wonderful composition!

soothes the soul!
Am I playing the organ on this? You'd think when people illegally publish these recordings on UA-cam they'd at least credit the musicians....!
Peace is with you.
How's playing the organ??
Who's playing the organ (sorry)?
