I never knew there was a chimera in the swamps, I was busy running from a horde of Fleshes and Dogs and trying to outrun the scripted emission. I also had a bug with the Monolith attacking the Lesser Zone base where everyone was stuck in the big building not doing anything. So what I did was after saving the professor was not talk to him and immediately go straight to the Lesser Zone base and somehow that fixed it. But now there's a bug where a guy is blocking me from getting to the chest and bed for some reason
stalker has been my game of the year. Obviously it isn't for everyone and has issues (every pack of dogs and Fleshy mutants that spawn on top you) but the great moments i have in the game far outnumber the buggy ones.
As much as it seems contradictory in the previous versions of stalker higher difficulties would also imply that would also go for the enemies, so they would take more damage from gun fire. Now i have not tested this myself on stalker 2 so no idea.
funny to see someone else struggling at the same part as i did, only after a bunch of loads that ive figured out that this emission was triggered and youre supposed to run from the chimera by getting to the clear sky base asap
@@TheSpudHunter yep, in the process ive tried many different ways including hiding inside that underground deposit close to the church, got wrecked anyways, even though its almost a bunker, so if you dont take cover on that marked hiding spot youll always die (also took time to learn that one hahaha)
Every time an NPC groans it makes me think they're a zombie and I go into panic mode looking for mutants. There are like 3 women in the whole zone that I've seen. The swamp was terrible, that Chimera was the worst, it would not die, I spent most of my ammo killing the rest of the wildlife in the area, most of that zone was hordes of rats and pigs so I was practically empty trying to kill it, the emission happened to me too, mid fight. After several deaths I gave up and ran to the last objective finding shelter along the way and the Chimera missed a leap and drowned itself in the swamp.
Love the variety spud, good luck with the whole youtube thing. I am a big fan of the old games, especially the overhaul mods (gamma, misery etc.) and I think this game is a good base. The Ukrainian voice acting is pretty good and there is a lot more story content than I expected. Holy crap, I ran into the same problem in the swap fighting that thing too! Had to do what you did too and go back a few saves to wait for the stupid storm to pass haha.
The swamp part with the Chinera is an absolute mess. The emission and the Chimera are both scripted together, and you are supposed to just run away from it to the shelter. There's an achievement for spacifically doing this. Of course, the game doesn't clearly tell you any of this and I ended up doing similar as you. Also the "soft locked" point you were at later at the concrete wall, theirs a ladder just left around the corner of the wall. At 19:13 you were looking straight at it
Your pretty much spot on, there are some excellent things about this game. God knows why they decided to implement Bethesda difficulty into a tactical shooter survival game.
Honestly to be absolutely fair, the quality of the game is fantastic considering they’re making this game in a war-torn country. Is there problems with the game? Absolutely. But I feel like since this team is said to be pretty good with their playerbase it is probably something they are actively working on fixing/adding
One thing I really hate is that pretty much any structure used to be safe against eruptions in Anomaly or GAMMA but in Stalker 2 you need to find a "special structure"....
I’m not sure what the A-Life mechanic is, but I am seeing reoccurring names of the same person or maybe random names repeated. I had seen him at a base and later on came across a dead body from a skirmish with the same name, kinda bummed me out cause he was cool.
If the game was optomized my biggest complaint would be the lack of weapon and that'll be addressed in dlc but damn man UE5 is such a hard engine to work with clearly since even devs who aren't in a warzone can't even optimize their games
The "softlock" you had is not a softlock. There is a ladder to the left of this place... and even if that was the case, there are 2 or 3 more ways to go to that island...

So what I did was after saving the professor was not talk to him and immediately go straight to the Lesser Zone base and somehow that fixed it. But now there's a bug where a guy is blocking me from getting to the chest and bed for some reason
11:08 did you get like any of the armor in the game? Even on Max, difficulty with the Siva d or a a fully upgraded takes about five hits
20:48 anyone know what song this is? that sht goes hard

your utube vid format is the best ive seen
Plenty of other good ones out there, I'm just a mix of all my favouite things I watch in my own flair
i really hope the variaty stuff gets u viewers - u deserve it
Cheers
I spent 25 hours in the lesser zone before leaving
Best video on Stalker 2 so far. Good job mate. LOL
cheers!
hilarious vid spuddy!
stalker has been my game of the year. Obviously it isn't for everyone and has issues (every pack of dogs and Fleshy mutants that spawn on top you) but the great moments i have in the game far outnumber the buggy ones.
19:13 was the ladder just around the corner of the lift not working? I've never seen the lift work. I've always used the ladder
Ladder didn't work, it's why I thought it was the lift
The reason nobody has left the lesser zone is a lot of people are waiting for the a-life fixes
Also I wanna see everything there is to see. There are so many secrets you will miss if you don't look
With the chimera the game doesnt expect you to actually fight it because theres literally an achievement for just not fighting it and going around it.
It's not a bug....
It's an, anomaly.
11:50 - I didn't even kill it I just ran past it while using health items. I hated the Swamps part.
Learn how to play the game so much skill issue on this video is crazy
Agreed
yeah
Here is some vodka and a cigarette I’ll see you around the zone stalker.
As much as it seems contradictory in the previous versions of stalker higher difficulties would also imply that would also go for the enemies, so they would take more damage from gun fire. Now i have not tested this myself on stalker 2 so no idea.
Bros trynna run through an emission and calling it ass 💀
this was painful watching, I literally didnt die to the scripted emission, just keep running to the mission marker... wtf-
second painful watch comment, literally using bad/wrong tactics throughout the game.
Pretty sure there was a ladder on the left side of that thing you was “soft locked” behind dude 😂
funny to see someone else struggling at the same part as i did, only after a bunch of loads that ive figured out that this emission was triggered and youre supposed to run from the chimera by getting to the clear sky base asap
Took time hey
@@TheSpudHunter yep, in the process ive tried many different ways including hiding inside that underground deposit close to the church, got wrecked anyways, even though its almost a bunker, so if you dont take cover on that marked hiding spot youll always die (also took time to learn that one hahaha)
Great one Spud!
Thanks for the review Spuddy :)
Are women part of the stalker experience?
Spud AND Stalker 2? Please stop, I can only come so much.
Great video Spuddy, laughed my ass off. Its a good game with the right mods.
Love the variety spud, good luck with the whole youtube thing.
I am a big fan of the old games, especially the overhaul mods (gamma, misery etc.) and I think this game is a good base. The Ukrainian voice acting is pretty good and there is a lot more story content than I expected.
The worst part of the game is that it doesn't deliver on the immersion that they did so well on the old games. Alife being broken is pretty shit.
Will see where it lands in a year
Also you could try GAMMA for the real stalker experience
@@chocolatebutter192 I've heard good things about GAMMA and cheers man
@@chocolatebutter192 Gamma is not Stalker and it has nothing in common with the Stalker experience. I tell you as an old fan since 2007. The problem with people is that they perceive Anomalies and Gamma as a Stalker game and try to compare Stalker 2 with it.
9:40 oh my god.. I just realize why they use coupons instead of real money in the zone now.
Its so the story can happen. XD
most of the mutants you can kill the easlly whe you obtain the SPAS 14, you can shoot so fast the 7 or 8 rounds that if you control de recoil you can insta kill bloodsuckers, controllers and the ones that take away your gun (this last ones while they are not using their blue invensibility fielt)
With most of mutants the thing is it's up to you whether you fight them or flee
CAN WE HELP THE UA-cam ALGORITHM MAKE THIS MAN FAMOUS ALREADY JESUS!

PS: Funny shit
Much love
Well economy is supposed to be like that in a survival game😅 what kind of survival will you get if you can get rich vety quickly in a radiation zone, its not for repairs and upgrades but thats about it
That swamp part was horrendous, it made me wanna do generational hexes on the devs
Reverb fart four seconds in, i already know this is gonna be another banger
Tell me you never played STALKER before without telling me you've never played STALKER before. xD Still very fun video.
No idea if its been said already, but if you end up doing a new save on veteran and don't want to deal with the Chimeras BS in the swamps he wont chase you into the hut; just run like hell and he'll leave you alone once you're in. We appreciate the suffering you've allowed us to witness though so thanks anyways :)
Its not a tuna. Its canned meat (тушонка)
At 19:13 you were looking straight at it
Thanks for the info, however I didn't include the footage of me trying to climb the ladder and it wasn't extended. Was rough
Pretty sure that spot where you said you were soft locked, theres a ladder around the left side wall lol.
It wouldn't go down for me unfortunately
@@TheSpudHunter Godam buggy game lmao.
Talk tuah boss!!!!
Your pretty much spot on, there are some excellent things about this game. God knows why they decided to implement Bethesda difficulty into a tactical shooter survival game.
Yes, this! TY!
I believe its to adhere to newer audiences, difficulty has been in this game since the first if i recall correctly.
Honestly to be absolutely fair, the quality of the game is fantastic considering they’re making this game in a war-torn country. Is there problems with the game? Absolutely. But I feel like since this team is said to be pretty good with their playerbase it is probably something they are actively working on fixing/adding
In all fairness, 5:44 is a minecraft villager easter egg.
Epic Video. Masterpiece.
never played the first Stalker, but the post-apocalypse looks pretty good. Ill wait for some patches and a discount to pick it up.
The "softlock" you had is not a softlock. There is a ladder to the left of this place... and even if that was the case, there are 2 or 3 more ways to go to that island...
Thank you
if you see a chimerra, you will run!
This was fun to watch have to say
Cheers
I just got out of SIIRCA wym yall are in the mf first chapter still?
My ass gettin ate by mf Chimeras out here. I fought one so long it triggered a fkkkkkn emission and i aint talkin bout the story one
Btw u do no damage to the migets (beurer's) when they have their blue shield up
It didn't take a month to patch stalker. It took about 7 days. All games at release have problems.
Very good review!!! At this point i can recommend everybody to use some kind of economy mod and a mutant hp mod. The game will be kinda easier sure, but it will take away the frustration parts like bullet sponges and the never ever having not even a single penny parts and switches them to deadly but reasonable killable enemies and you will actually able to afford repairs and even some weapon upgrades....
