I'm as mad as anybody, but to call Barton and Strnad trash is just unfair. Are they both Fred Warner? Hell no. But they both have played quite well this season since Singleton went down, and have contributed to our defensive success. I also really like Drew Sanders, but if you remember back to that Miami game last year, he had something like 10 missed tackles, and it was an issue that persisted throughout last season. To say he could outplay the other two LBs, especially after being fresh off of an Achilles surgery just sounds unlikely at this point in the season. I can't think of a single defensive player that didn't miss a tackle tonight, just a bad game for almost all of em, but doesn't make any of them "trash".

3 bad calls against us didn’t help but it was the play calling that killed us. Offensively not aggressive enough until the end smh. So many screens and Bo not scrambling enough. When Sean realizes Bo isn’t Brees and uses his running skills they’ll be elite.
SP first priority is developing Nix as a passer so that's why he tries to keep him in the pocket. Having him run around & risk injury does nothing for his development. You wanted Brees in yr one when Brees wasn't that in his first yr either. It's going to take time for Nix to learn the nuances of the position because he's a rookie.
Heart wrenching loss, but game still went much better than I expected. Bo and this offense played pretty well against a good chargers defense for much of the game, despite lacking any playmakers. Defense struggled whole game, as I expected them to without Riley Moss, but made big plays in key moments and gave this team a chance. Two brutal 3 and outs in the second half killed us. Locke missed two key tackles in that drive that put us down 10 points late in the 4th quarter. Bo Nix played very well, but was inaccurate at the absolute worst times, underthrowing Mims for touchdown, throwing a screen pass into the dirt that allowed harbough to call a timeout and eventually squeeze in a field goal before halftime. Lot of boneheaded mistakes in this game, especially from the defense. And not just penalties. One of the chargers best receivers (#15) was wide open more than once. Vance Joseph defenses always seem to confuse the players and lead to missed assignments. Should have won this game, but we were competitive, even dominant for a while, so my expectations were exceeded. Loss wasn't anywhere near as heart wrenching as when our field goal got blocked in Kansas City.
Blaming the game on VJ is unfair. He's been doing very good as the Broncos DC and has made this a top 5 defense. Zack is speaking out of emotion and not logic tonight..
That's the point. He's just a dink and dunk QB that will never wow you with the long ball unless there are no defenders on the field. He will survive, though...he'll just never be able to reach the next level without the arm.

We ran the ball 7 times on the opening drive. There were 10 called run plays THE REST OF THE GAME. Not counting Nix scrambles, which were called pass plays. No excuse for Payton going away from the run game in a game 1) it was WORKING and 2)You were ahead for longer than 3/4 of the game. Unnacceptable.

Hey Zach....Javante Williams averaged more per carry than Estime or any other broncos running back. We get that u hate the guy. But u blame the problems in the run game on him every week. The real problem this game is that Payton must have lost that big piece of paper that said "Run the ball" on it. We led for MORE than 3/4 of the game and barely attempted to run when it was clearly working
We completely abandoned the running game after the first drive. You guys blame Javante for the running game EVERY WEEK. He played well tonight. I remember Estime getting stopped for a loss and 1 yard multiple times in the 2nd half, not Javante. Stop with the scapegoating.

Should've been off-setting penalties. - Broncos D offsides on a chargers screen...Chargers lineman clearly does a block/push to the back. Another off-setting penalties not called. - PI on Mims puts them in or near the RedZone. 3 extremely visible penalties, 1 being far bigger than the others. Also....might be a Chargers holding on the Herbert scramble from the endzone.

Stats say otherwise. He led the offense to 27 pts, 263 yds & two Td's & no turnovers. Blame who you want but Nix didn't cost them the game
