Sheldon trying not to cry after nobody shows up to his Nobel Prize party really strikes a chord with those of us who struggle with making connections. Luckily, we know that he won't always feel alone.
It’s one of my go-to scenes when I need a good cry. Being AuDHD and having to suppress my negative emotions for many years as a child caused me to have difficulties with being able to cry when I needed to. In a lot of ways, I’m a lot like a neutrino and will always be that way. It’s hard, it’s lonely at times, but it’s my life and I’m doing what I can to make the best of it.
Sheldon comforting Mary after the teenager dies in the traffic accident always gets me. His understanding her need to reconnect with her faith is very powerful.
Meemaw's house getting completely destroyed by the tornado was heartbreaking, and so was Missy admitting that she didn't hate Sheldon for ratting her out for smoking in the previous episode. She likely realised that she could have died, and that those would be her last words to her twin. 💔
I never watched it on TV, but now in UA-cam I have binged on these well written depictions of a good and real family show,. Everyone in both, show and prequel does an outstanding heartfelt performance. Please, more shows like these two! ❣️💌❤️💌❣️
My number one would have been the scene when missy is crying into her pillow because her parents ‘always take his side’. She feels so alone. As a sibling of a special child aswell I relate.
That was such a heart wrenching moment. But at the same time seeing everyone who would eventually become his friend was touching too. Seeing Amy reading Little Women, or Howard playing with his magic kit. And for some reason Penny sleeping like a slob seemed like a perfect representation for her as a kid.
@@chronosaurus_skz Foreshadowing how he ends up gaining a pretty close-knit group of friends later in life: Amy, Leonard, Penny, Howard, Bernadette, Raj and Stuart.
Im a Christian woman and seeing her say she feels like the Lord is turning his back on her is so sad because the church itself was wrong but God's love for her would never waiver like that. We are ALL just human and flawed, God knows that.
The thing is... George reminds me a lot of my deceased father so there's more devastating moments for me than what is going to be on this list. To name a few: -George playing catch with Missi -The smile and nod he gives Sheldon -George and Missi cuddling on the bed after he has his little heart problem the second time. -George teaching Missi to drive. -Pretty much any George and Missi bonding moments. RIP Papa
5:18 The sad thing is, this ultimately just gets brushed over. After some time passes, George just asks Pastor Jeff to take Mary back as an employee & he does but there’s no apology, no acknowledgment that he & his congregation turned their backs on Mary when what happened with Georgie was completely out of her control. 1 of 2 things should’ve happened: • Pastor Jeff should’ve admitted his faults in front of Mary & his congregation & if any of them still had problems with her, they were welcome to leave. Or • Mary left & found a new, more accepting church that didn’t hold her family members’ misgivings against her - in a vein very similar to how Pastor Rob approached religion. (Personally I would’ve preferred the latter)
Id also add in Mary confronting Brenda about the suspected affair, and Brenda setting things straight. It's not emotional in the typical sense, but it is extremely moving anyway

The Nobel party was the first moment that genuinely made me cry. Others had made me tear up but this one I was bawling like a baby when it showed all the others too
The last sentence in the 8 Episode Season 1, broke my heart. where Sheldon regrets not telling his father that he had the best trip of his life with him, before he passed away.😕
One thing is how George never got a word and Mary didn't ask how George never felt. He wasn't happy and she really acted like he didn't matter. It was only her over his family.
I think that maybe the most devastating moment of them all was when Mary said to Missy, "You are NOT hanging out with Paige again." I think that she was really misunderstanding right there.
The moment that's number one for me hadn't happened by the time this video came out but I'm sure its a part of what would have been number one. Mary's speech at George's funeral broke me me.
You did not include the time when sheldon comforted Mary when she was doubting her faith. Although Sheldon does not believe in deities, he acknowledges the possibility of the existence of higher beings with power so great that the value of gravity is not too high or low, but its just right.
That wasnt really a devastating moment. It was actually a wholesome one. Yes, it was sad because of Mary's doubt. However, the bases of this list is moments that really devastated viewers. The scene between Mary and Sheldon was rather quick and he managed to turn it into a very fufilling scene. Also technically the reason for the scene you say is mentioned in the list since it started when Mary was made to leave the church.
Of course George Sr. was not happy. Look at his damn wife! Nagging, nagging, nagging. Sure, he was not the perfect father or husband but guess what - no one is. However, Mary just stepped it up with coddling Sheldon into oblivion. No wonder he struggles when he's an adult.
One of my saddest scenes is just Billy sparks I mean his dad leaves him, he lives with chickens, his friend Sheldon tells him how bad it is that he lost his computer data while making the situation worse making Billy realize his dad will never come back, he gets rejected twice, and he barely passes 6th grade then he stayed in 7th grade for three years
Im not sure why but seeing Georgian Missy lying in the ditch looking back at their car rolled over was so sad for me I've never experienced a tornado in my life but this just felt like so upsetting young Sheldon such a great show❤
Oh come on the baseball team moment barely had enough time to be more than a well that sucks. Meemaw showed up, got sassy and scored her granddaughter a chance to show what she could do (which was out pitch the boys...and punch em as well lol) and meemaw got herself a date while at it. Dale is a fabulous addition to the show and we need more Craig t Nelson being her sidekick in this world lol
Am I the only one who remembers a different song being played in the scene where Sheldon cries that he has no friends and the scene shows the BBT characters as children?
Will these two be reprising their roles for the new series? Because they are adorable together. Their chemistry is really sweet. I would love to see more of them.
The moment that actually made me cry is when the church finds out about the Wed-lock baby, Mary had a bible study seasion and no one came. When she called them, they all said they got cought up or were sick. It had me tearing up so much. I could see how sad Mary looked, how it got worse after each call. The other time is when Missy, Sheldon and Mary go to church after the church finds out about the wed-lock and they can’t sit in their normal pew and no one wants to be around them. But at least it got better as the season went on (have not finished season 6 so don’t spoil [I skipped to the parts I’ve seen on this video])
5:24. . Yeah. Me n my wife have had to go thru this kinda 💩 with our SO CALLED church "family"!! Until I called our so called "pastor" out for his HYPOCRISY and his money grabbing BULLSH@T WAYS!! And his clicky little group of snakes in the grass!!
That Mary lost her job at the church because Georgie got a girl pregnant really tears me up. So many Christians (not all) pretend to be "true believers," but turn their backs on anyone who stumbles or falls by the wayside. They have forgotten what it means to follow in His footsteps: to err is human; to forgive is devine. Matthew 7:1 "Judge ye not, that ye be not judged."
@@hydractoraccording to the story when the twins were born Missy was very sick and so she made a promise to attend church and dedicate her life to the church if Missy would be okay
Plus, sheldon Noble Prize party. I don't understand why he was so sad because we knew nobody would show up for a thing that a normal person doesn't understand. I didn't feel so bad because I understood it really didn't matter in that state or people in his school. Football and religion was the most important thing in his city. Sheldon never understood how people in his area though about science and other things he really understood or liked. One thing I really liked about this scene. Is how they showed his friends as little children. That he wasn't going to be alone and end up winning a Noble Prize.
Yeah, I always have a bad feeling when Paige shows up, mainly because I'm worried about what will end up being the reason Sheldon never mentioned her (besides the writers not knowing she existed from the start of TBBT)...Also though, I'm looking forward to her coming back too, because the two have a good chemistry. I really hope she does return before the end or maybe she will show up in the Spinoff or something. Do we know if Missy is going to be a regular or their mom? I hope they show up some in the spinoff.
Maybe Mary was devoting herself to the wrong church. This can be a problem some people have with people who claim that they know God. The Bible tells us to love all people, regardless of race, religion, or sexuality, but not to fall into those practices. A phrase I learned, as a Christian myself, was "Love the sinner, hate the sin." But I guess with Mary's case, the church she had been going to turned more on the "hate the sin and the sinner" when Mary was fired and the community turning on them because of Georgie and Mandy's pregnancy. Sure, it was a mistake, but Mary still loves her son. Here's a good question for Pastor Jeff: Where does your faith really stand?
The new voice and phrasing isn't working for you guys. Hate to say it coz I love the vids but is it some kind of AI, the feeling and cadence isn't there

Because a person couldn't do something because they would judge you. I started disliking this religion after watching how they judge or do things at times.
I didn't have much sympathy for Missy, Georgie, George Senior, or Paige, though. Missy is just a bad kid who deserves everything bad that happens to her. Mandy eventually said yes to Georgie. It was asinine for George Senior to complain that Mary doesn't ask: you can talk to people without asking. Besides, though he had valid points about their marriage, he was wrong in the way he attempted to handle the Sheldon-Missy situation. Paige is going through a tragic situation but it doesn't excuse shoplifting and framing your best friend and the one person who is looking out for you. Once you do that, you deserve all the suffering that Paige has gotten

Sheldon comforting Mary after the teenager dies in the traffic accident always gets me. His understanding her need to reconnect with her faith is very powerful.
One moment that touched me: Sheldon realizes George’s sacrifices and holds his hand at dinner without gloves.
Meemaw's house getting completely destroyed by the tornado was heartbreaking, and so was Missy admitting that she didn't hate Sheldon for ratting her out for smoking in the previous episode. She likely realised that she could have died, and that those would be her last words to her twin. 💔
It was a tornado
it hurts me every time I see the scene of Missy telling Sheldon she hates him right before he goes to Germany.
In my family, we just _don't_ tell each other that we hate each other. It hurts that not all families have that.
