A little correction. You can store one variant as a whole glam set, and the remaining pants/skirt as a standalone glam. Both will consume only 2 slots and there's no need to get a second full set.
@@LinaaaOfficial I agree with you on this one, no point on getting another full set just to store 1 piece. I think with my stored sets I've ran into 11 sets that share multiple pieces and only half of that it was beneficial to get a 2nd full set while the other half was just better to store the one piece.
1:29 You don't have to get a whole second set. Whether you get a second set or just keep the skirt by itself the two outfits would still take up two slots in the glamour dresser. 1 for each whole set for a total of two or 1 for a whole set and 1 for the skirt. The only time you need to buy two whole sets is if the second set has 2 or more different glam pieces, which some sets do. There is a set from the endwalker island set that has 3 different pieces between the sets. If you just buy two whole sets of that you only use 2 glamour spaces but if you make one set and keep the other items individually you use 4 glamour spaces. So the only time you need to buy multiple sets to save space is if there is more than 1 item changed between the two sets, so this is fine.
that what i do with all the other sets that have alternative pants/skirts or 2 types of shirts. No need to get more stuff, just save the single extra piece
At that point it's the same whether you have a full second set or just the one different piece - it'll still take up two slots in the dresser. I've just been tossing the odd piece in by itself.
01:17 No you don't. You can just buy the trousers and deposit them individually since it's gonna occupy one slot regardless of being stored as a set or single.
don't like the design of this gear at all, but the material work and resolution on it makes me excited for what they might and could do for other gear in the game, as well as uprezzing/updating of older gear.
You don't HAVE to have two sets, putting the skirt or pants in as their own slot takes up one slot the same as if it was another set. If you have OCD about it, then it's a pain, and you have my sincere condolences, but it's not required… however, I feel like they should just include every piece in one set, even the alternate legs, to save another slot. Dunno what's stopping them from doing that, but hopefully they'll improve this feature over time. Fingers crossed they allow us to group gear sets too.
I like having more casual/modern outfits added to the game, even if it's something I dont see myself wearing often. There's still players who complain about their immersion breaking, but I think the amount of battle gear we get every large patch keeps everybody happy. Hating on the design team or on players for enjoying the other types of glamour just feels like they're actively looking for something to complain about. I love FF14 because we get the best of both worlds and we don't have to stick to ONE thing to enjoy the game. Of course, if a player does only like ONE thing and they can't understand why others enjoy something they don't want in the game, that's okay to like different things but those kind of players going out of their way to shame people for it shows more about them than the game.
Modern clothes are a win in my book, but as a dancer/monk I wish they had added more thavnairian-ish/valigarmanda-ish/tuliyollal-ish clothes. I have no business wearing armor plates or long coats.
SE even showcased the outfit on a female miqo, which is statistically the most popular character type, and yet the top is incompatible with tails, they just keep releasing tops that clip horribly like most of their playerbase doesn't have tails.
Those kinds of jackets usually have a split seam in the back, perhaps a hold over from longer petticoats/tailcoats just getting shorter and shorter. I dont think it was meant for a "tail hole", though yes it wouldve been nice if it did work for Miqos
I unfortunately don't like most of the glamor gear we have gotten in dawntrail as they all get this glossy gray sheen when dyed darker colors that i think looks terrible.
One thing that bugs me is that this being a cold weather outfit I would want to wear tights/stockings with it. The skirt and the jacket are nice, but the hat is...meh. Overall this is a very Canadian outfit designed for eating back bacon and drinking Molson. XD
What they could do is update this further and add the whole set if you can get multiple pieces in same slot e.g. skirt, trousers, long sleeve, short sleeve
I think it looks great as a winter casual set. It is unfortunate creating your own Dakota winters is a little difficult with house glam, but should be plenty of good world locations.
I love the new glam feature, but it would have been great if they'd let us store both variants of an outfit without having to store duplicates of the glam items that are common to both variants.
I'm feeling like Meoni's ahboot to talk to me ahboot the weather, and we'll get into a friendly but heated discussion about the latest college football game.
As someone who grew up with one of those hats: 10/10 do recommend for cold weather. The 'ear muff' part doesn't get lost cos its attached to your hat hehe.
I'm not a fan of any of it, perhaps the skirt would be useful but I dont particularly like the tassel. The thing that bugs me the most is that every fitted skirt & trousers is so unflattering on a female Miquote, they all give you pancake flat bums.
@@nightcliff5411 It used to be that the casual glams would be lore appropriate and come from one of the many interesting cultures of the world. Now it's just bland irl clothing that makes me feel like XIV really wants to be the Sims4

I love the skirt! The little "Creases" are called darts. They are used in clothing to curve fabric to match the body's contours.

Common Sense Solution: One full Wintertide set made into a glamour outfit set, and simply add the single leg piece into the glamour dresser.

Literally the same slot cost when it's just one extra item yeah.

as home seamstress I saw those are darts used in fitted skirts, which makes it even more realistic, imo but yeah I agree it does look odd on this item
