Thank you, very happy you enjoyed it! Coiling is to give the yarn that bubbly/beehive style that you see at the end of the video. It's a very popular style in the weaving community, and you can see videos on my channel where I use my own yarns in my woven art work. Only a matter of preference 😉I love the process of « painting » with fiber when applying them directly onto the big drum. It also gives me more control over the color distribution when I just want to add touches of colors here and there. But it’s truly a matter of personal preference and habits 🥰
@@happymelodieart thats cool, I'm learning on a family friends farm from shearing, to processing, then carding, spinning and or felting. I cant get enough of it. It's a messy business though. 😊😉
from Gerry- The yarn is so beautiful but also so thick. What will you do with the finished yarn? Blessings.
Thank you! My yarns are actually made for weaving and other free forms of fiber art. They’re not made for knitting or crochet for example. 🙂
The carding process is so satisfying! What is the purpose of coiling?

Beautiful colors 🎉❤
Thank you 🥰
Love this :-). Is there a reason for putting the fibre directly onto the drum and not through the small drum to the big one ?

@@happymelodieart thank you for your reply I’m quite new to spinning so I’ll try this way
Your work is beautiful 😻
Do you process your fibre before carding and spinning, or purchase from a different vendor?
I buy them as tops from my suppliers 😊
