Elvar - Snakavik

This piece is part of my collection dedicated to John Gwynne's book 'The Shadow of the Gods'. It follows the character Elvar and her band of marauders as they sail into Snakavik, a massive city perched on a cliff.
The first half uses bin drums to evoke the sound of military drums on a ship, setting a rhythmic, tense atmosphere. As they approach the strait to the city, the horns grow in depth and character. In the second section, Elvar and her crew behold the awe-inspiring sight of Snakavik. Here, the horns play the 'Shadow of the Gods' theme, which is featured in all the pieces in this set, but in a more majestic and awe-inspiring iteration.
