Loved the video, thanks so much! I’m no where near applying to law school, I’m going into my undergrad this fall 😂 I’ve just been super nervous about it after shamefully spending hours on the internet reading posts about why I shouldn’t become a lawyer. This really happened to bring back my motivation though :)
I think undergrad will be really instrumental in deciding if you want to be a lawyer or not! There are definitely a lot of other career options out there, but my own undergrad reinforced my desire to become a lawyer :)
I'm back here a year after after totally bombing my first year of undergrad lol. I have 3-4 courses that I did absolute shit in, so I took 2 summer courses to make up for that, and I did even worse in them :) it's mostly the late penalties the impacted my grades
Thank you so much this helped a lot . I guess I'm gonna have a long way because if I apply i'mma be an international student . Anyway I hope you have a great day and I hope you're enjoying your life . Thanks for the video
Thank you!! I’m def very happy with my results this cycle :) I’m just finalizing my decision now (I’ll make a video on it! 😂), I was waiting for schools to share whether they’ll be online or in person in the fall before deciding :)
Thankyou so much for this video! I'm currently a business student in my 3rd year and I also don't think my GPA is as good as the requirements for UofT, however your video gave me a little more clarity! I just wanted to know how many LSATs did you take?
Hi Caroline, new sub here!! Thanks for the fantastic video and CONGRATS on your acceptances! I dunno why I'm binging law school content after I've submitted my apps, but you've made me feel a lot better. I'm 168/3.84 going for UofT for intellectual property law with a STEM background. Out of curiosity, why did you not apply to Western or Queens?
Aw thank you so much! Welcome to my channel 🥰 best of luck with your apps! I decided not to apply to Western/Queens because I really wanted to stay in Toronto for law school and they’re not as great as the schools in Toronto too :)
@@LegallyCaroline Caroline I really think you need to ease up on the super U of T, Osgoode mentality. It gives the wrong message to prospective students out there. Western and Queens produce just as many exceptional graduates.

As someone who studied international relations at UofT, what were your language requirements? Since I’m only familiar with UBC where you have to take 4 courses in a different language. Thanks for the informative video! & Congrats on getting into UofT law!!!
thank you! There are no language requirements for International Relations majors at UofT! For the IR specialist, in your first year, you can choose to take a language credit or a math credit as a requirement.
If you are reading this please give me an answer , Is it difficult to enter Harvard Law as an international student? I mean when the first language is not English? are you an international student? so what was it as hard or just the same as the other students
How do Canadian Law Schools view students applying in 3rd year? (90 credits completed) Is it possible for students to be accepted after 3rd year of Undergrad?
Hey! Do you have thoughts on applying to Canadian law schools with a GPA of 3.9 from UofT and a LSAT score of 160? I'm considering whether I should retake the LSAT, or whether 160 will be enough to get into Canadian law schools
Talia H. It depends on what law school you want to go to/your extracurriculars/personal statement, but if you’re aiming for UofT/Osgoode, a 160 is definitely on the lower side. You might be okay for Osgoode, but you want at least mid 160s if not higher for UofT :) if you don’t want to go to those people schools, you’ll probably be fine
hi! thank you for your video its really helpful - I've been worrying about the GPA requirement because coming from where I study, it is quite impossible to score above a 3.6/4.0 gpa scale (no one in my entire cohort does for my subject), and I am worrying if this might make my gpa really low in comparison. For example, a 3.3/4.0 can already land someone in big international firm training contracts as a lawyer where I come from. Will law schools be well aware of this?
I applied in my 4th year, so I only had 3 years of marks! If you apply after 4th year, so in a year off, or in a 5th year, your cgpa would be based on all your years of study!
I’m doing my bachelors degree In India rn and I wanna study law in Canada …and I was just wondering if I apply for law school in Canada , while sitting in India will I get in ???
I have a few questions I’d like to ask if you can answer them for me I’d really appreciate. 1. Do international students studying law in Canada get a job after graduation or can they only practice law in their country? 2. Is the LSAT exam of Canada same as the US LSAT? 3. I’m currently senior year of undergrad in New York. Spring is my last semester and I’m hoping to start law school fall 2021. When do you suggest I start working on my LSAT? 4. In terms of law school loans, are there loan options granted to international students? 5. Do you think law school is expensive in the US or Canada? 6. Can you suggest some LSAT practice resources that will guarantee a good LSAT score? 7. Is it true that you can only get a job as a lawyer right out of college only if you’re in an Ivy League?
I think if you go to law school in Canada and then pass the bar, you can practice in Canada :) I’m not sure how work visas/immigration works, but you’ll be qualified to work. It’s probably better to consult some sort of advisor on this though. Yes Canada and US both use the LSAT. If you want to start law school in fall 2021, you’ll need to apply this year, which means you need to take the LSAT in the next few months. In terms of loans for international students, you’ll have to use a private lender, like a bank! You don’t qualify for government loans. Law school is expensive everywhere lol, but more expensive in the US than Canada. I made a whole video on how I studied for the LSAT and the resources available on my channel!
