I guarantee you that where you cooked this added more flavor than anything. That old Hickory carbon steel knife even added flavor to the onion. That chainsaw running in the distance was as good as a steam whistle from a locomotive. A fleeting moment in life that was far more than just a darn good lunch outside.

Chef Brandon, master of flavors. lol I don’t eat deer as you know, but I do like the mix of beans. And I love chalula sauce!!! No clue what Mateo’s is though. You’ll have to introduce me next time I’m home.
They sell Mateo’s at Walmart it’s is some good stuff.
I saw Mateo's salsa a few days ago. I think Aldi may have gotten some too.
It is worth the try.
I need to try it with the salsa. It's hard to beat a good chili on a cold day.
Probably top three on my favorite pots of chili. Mateo’s made in Texas they sell it at Walmart. Good stuff.
