- WEST ELM, RH, POTTERY BARN DUPES / DIY Home Decor from DOLLAR STORE
Hey everyone!
Many of you asked me for another DIY Dupe video and here it is! I really enjoy making these type videos. In this weeks video, I tackled duping a few items I felt was easy for all levels to recreate. I started with a simple pedestal bowl I was inspired by from Pottery Barn, then there lovely, antiqued, hammered candle holders from Restoration Hardware. A set of minimalist sculptures from West Elm and finally an inspired set of Pottery Barn candle holders that I made up on the whim lol!
All products used to make these decor pieces are from the dollar store. I always love showing what you can do with a low budget. You just need some imagination and a whole lot of patience!
The clay was purchased from my local art store. Under $15 for 2lbs of air dry clay.

I just love these creations! You are an awesome diyer!,,,
GIRL! I loveeee these!! Thank you 💕
Really liked the candle holders from the fruit cups.
Your music is fabulous
Beautiful 😍😍😍
Thank you! 😊
I ❤️ your channel! Mid century is my favorite style. It seems most of the you-tube diy/restoration videos seem to be the farmhouse style - not my favorite. Thank you 😊
So happy to hear you're enjoying my channel, thank you Annie!! ☺️❤️
1st time watching your channel. The background music is what really stood out for me. It was pleasant and soft. I appreciate that. 😁 Too many craft channels have loud distracting music.
Thank you Stacey, I've learned the same..music is important but shouldn't be used to over power the message. I hadn't always been this cautious tho..but I have learned to find the balance. So happy you're here and enjoying my content ☺️❤️
@@LizBesanson I echo Stacey's comment, plus I love your style. New subscriber.
I couldn’t agree more. The music on some of these channels dissuade me from watching. This was a treat.
Here, here 🍻
🙌🏾These are great, but I have one suggestion. On areas like the last candle holder where the line is visible from being glued together. Take some spackle to fill that in and smooth it out. It’ll give it a seamless finish and look even better than it already does. This was awesome! 👌🏾
These diy dupes are fabulous. I especially love the the last chunky candle holder diy. Really classy looking.
Thanks so much! 😊
Love love love! Also love the bronzed makeup look♡♡◇
haha Thanks love!! ❤️❤️❤️
Actual DIYs that was easy, cheap but didn’t appear cheap!!! I can’t wait to try them in my home! 🖤
yes! so happy you're gonna try them! let me know how yours turns out ☺️
Fantastic job. Love every one of these item. I'd buy them.
Thanks so much! ☺️☺️☺️
I happened across your video by accident. I love decor and love your inspiration for the things you created. I especially love the candlesticks! THANK YOU so much for sharing.
Thank you Francesca!! ❤️
Love the bowl with legs! You styled it perfectly! I think wooden dowels would have worked for the candlesticks to make them more sturdy. You could just paint them or put some clay in spots to make them rough before painting.
Yout house is gorgeous!
Thank you friend! ☺️
Ohmygoodness!!!!! They’re all so cool, my favorites are the gold candlesticks....I love that clay. Awesome music too!!!!
Thanks so much! ❤️
thank you for this video! you are so creative
Anna I really appreciate your kind words, thank you for watching! ☺️
Girl you're amazing, so talented continue diy...ing!
so so sweet lovely, thank you!! ❤️
Im living for your diys
Thank you Sofia!! ❤️
The candle holders though!!!! Wish we had access to the same thrifty dollar stores and spray paints that you do in the USA. So limited in England. xxx Love as always xxx
Thank you Karen! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! ☺️💕
I love the bowls and the rock look they do look expensive I just love the look of I them and looking forward to trying them on my own. Everything is really Cool😎
Thank you so much Delores!! ❤️
You did such a great job on all those dupes! I absolutely love how you styled the bowl, those branches look gorgeous coming out of that bowl. Love them all!
Absolutely love these!! Also fun tip you could even fill the bottom of the parfait cup with concrete so it feels more solid and sturdy if someone did decide to pick it up! Love your channel 🙌🏽😍
Omg, this is AMAZING!!!
Thank you so much! ☺️
OMGoodness your DIY's are soooooooo beyond cool! So glad I stumbled upon your channel! Peace
These are amazing! So talented! 👍🏼
Thank you so much!
Super cute. I just subscribed ❤❤
Great tutorial! I see that this air dry clay can be very useful in a lot of art projects. NO more need for baking in ovens (unless you going to use it as eatery. I really like how everything turned out. This is the second video I viewed of yours. Do you work this magic on thrift finds? Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.
Hi Liz! I just found your channel and I'm loving what you do! Can't wait to see more.....
Use a large box as a spray tent when using spray paint so you don't have to worry about the over spray coming in contact with other objects.
So enjoy watching your DIY & decor videos that I binge watched tonight and loved how your decor is so much like mine , I subscribed to your channel so I don’t miss out on your amazing videos ...
I really appreciate this comment, thank you so much Angela! ❤️
These all turned out amazing!!! You’re so creative Liz, who would’ve thought parfait bowls could make amazing decorative candle holders 🤍🤍
Right?! Thanks love! ☺️
Hi Liz! What did you use for the pedestal bowl?? Are they artificial coral branches?? I just absolutely love that look! Thanks for this vid!!
I would have put sand or Little Rocks on the bowl legs so it will have been heavy . Just a suggestion. Love your ideas though
Def a good idea! Thank you for sharing! ☺️
Been looking for some elevated high-end Scandinavian/minimalist DIY’s and you nailed it. These are awesome 👏🏼
So happy to hear friend! Thank you! ☺️
I absolutely love ❤️ everyone of them. Can you please tell me what plants did you use for the first project? That is my favorite? Thank you!!!!
Hi Kathy! That plant in the pedestal bowl is called Tumbleweed..I purchased it off of Etsy but I do believe Amazon might sell it. Etsy is a great source for nice dried floral arrangements. I bought lovely pampas grass from the site years ago. ☺️
I am going out tomorrow to get the bowls. I think the lady’s at Dollar Tree are getting tired of seeing me, lol. I am new to you site and I cannot wait to see more.
Yaaas 🖤🤍🖤🤎
💕💕
This video is so great! You are so creative and clever! I just love how you presented your unique ideas, tips and tricks. Plus your videos are visually pleasing and easy to follow. I’ve been making diy videos for a while but I know there is still so much to learn. I love the idea of making dupes on a budget. I don’t think we have any pottery barns near me so it’s even better that I can make my own now. I’m happy to come across a talented creator like you. I’d really love to learn more from each other.
OMG I can see your earrings larger as a candle holder.
Looooove candle holders, I love everything..but they were favorite
Take your own items and refurbish them ...I did that and was 🥰
I like them all, but the 1st one really blew me away! That color & texture was spot on. I really like what u put in the bowl too. Where did u find that?! TIA
Thank you Tia! The matte spray really helped to make it look like ceramic and the dried floral is tumbleweed. I purchased off of Etsy. Thanks for watching! ☺️
Everything looks amazing! Where is the branch like decor piece you put inside the bowl from?
Its called tumbleweed and its from Etsy! Thanks for watching! ☺️
Liz I love the candle holders and the table bowl...I have to get that stone spray paint!!! wow those candle holders are just gorgeous. Thank you for the inspiration. Please do more of these dollar store diy's

Such an awesome compliment than you my Hadassa! ☺️❤️
BY FAR the best diy using Dollar Store items I have ever seen! PLEASE give this woman a tv show ... she takes taste, talent and creativity to an entire new level.
Wow, such a really cool compliment!! Made my day, thank you! ☺️❤️
Hi Liz, I just discovered your channel today, so this is the first video for me. I totally enjoyed it!!! Loved that you presented your DIY projects differently than most people, very clear directions, loved how you demonstrated the craft and showed the products you were using. Also I adored your format of titling the project and where you saw it! Lastly, I LOVED ALL YOUR PROJECTS!!!!! You have an awesome eye for classy looking decor! I'm a new fan...cannot wait to see more!
I think you MAY keep the first and last ones Liz, simply because, you do like rather upmarket items, both in your home and what you wear! Just from observing the long time following you but then, you weren't doing as many diy's and the 2nd and 3rd ones aren't something I'd really like in my home either. But the 1st and last ones were sincerely very nice. Good job and good luck.
First time watching you...LOVE you ideas. Im going to make the bowl and stone looking candle holders. So cute tfs! 💙💛
Loved all three DIY’s they look awesome! Noticed your patio deck black chairs & table set - love it. Can you please tell me where you purchased it? Thank you.

Hi loved your video, thank you for sharing. Where did you get that sculpture on top of your Michelangelo book?
You know, I might just make those last candle holders!

Lol probably true
Those parfait candleholders would look gorgeous with some pinecones and some greenery!
Wow! I just found your channel recently and am thoroughly enjoying it! You are so creative!

I always double up the plastic bowls to make them more sturdy. Same on the stove tops cover pedestals
Can you put all of the results at the end from different angles so we can see?

You are super talented Liz. I love watching your channel.
I love all your DIYs. Where did you get the branches to put in the decor bowl?
Love your ideas, makes me want to try clay projects, how fun!
Ok so I’ve been to every dollar store to find the shot glasses and no one has them ! :(
my favorite and the ones that looked most realistic were the last ones candle holders.
All turned out great, what is the moss, fern looking plant plz?
Beautiful Liz just stunning!
Thank you so much! 😊
You have really pretty eyelashes
why thank you!! ☺️
Hi Liz, everything looks amazing, a suggestion.. You can use your cardboard box to spray paint inside little room, as the mist will not flow out as much as in the open area... cool work 💛💛
yes but it would smell so horrible lol! Im sensitive to the smell of spray paint so I had to just go outside with the projects lol! Thanks for watching love! ☺️
stumbled upon you today....totally luvin the vibe!
Amazing stunning adorable 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
These items are the best I’ve seen yet!! Keep them coming!
If you want to give your bowl that stone look you can add baking soda into some paint. More layers more stone look. Water down paint in a darker color and paint on. Then add finale color. Saw this on line. You can also use calking, apply with dry brush or finger. Let dry between coats. Just passing on info thought you might be interested.
Yes! I have a ton more techniques this is what I chose to do for this video. I'm actually doing a vessel tutorial for my IGTV this week very similar to above but slightly different..there's so many ways to antique something! lol! ☺️
I bought a paint tent and made a lazy susan. Going to try it out today!😊
Love the modern crafts! Thanks for sharing.
jenn g Thanks for watching! ☺️
Love these. And ty for the soothing music. Love it.
Thank you Stacey! ☺️
Gee! if you didn't say that you DIY the pedestal bowl and the textured candle holders I never would have known, they look so expensive.
Thank you!! 🥰
