Thankyou for always making beautiful sounding vst versions of the greatest synths. AND, huge thankyou for getting rid of that awful steinberg e-licenser
thank you for your tutorial style. relaxed , clearly spoken and a sly wit. Plus ... I believe that you do actual know the instruments functions . Great job.
GOD BLESS YOU FOR ELIMINATING THE ELICENSER!!!!!!! I wanted to demolish ARturia for ever doing that. I bought V Collection and couldn't even get to play the sounds for 2 weeks because the elicenser was all wacked out. Not to mention the many times it got wacked out later on as well ruining many stage performances for me. YAYYYYYYYY
Dear Arturia. I was wondering, what about making the original patches from the Matrix-12 (the syx files) compatible with this software version? I have some incredible sounds (syx files) that would love to play on my DAW through this lovely software. By the way, thanks for making this kind of stuff. Cheers :)
I own this synth and see the power in it but it seems as if the presets don't really display what the instrument is capable of which was a complaint of the original Matrix 12. Also what does pedal mean? I have a sustain pedal and it doesn't seem to work on this beautiful synth., I llove Arturia synths by the way. Thanks for making this tutorial.
Thank you for the detailed tutorial! (I have a copy with the latest collection V5) I read around the net that the original M12 had "slow" envelopes, not enough snappy due to the limits of its cpu - and possibly not reliable either since it depended on how much the cpu was processing at any time. Are the software version's any better? Or do they also emulate the "slow" cpu? And second question, is there any change in the engine in the latest version, aside from the UI, compared to the first one? Thx!
Just wondering. when i use the init patch with some VCA2 on. Then the tune will just sound forever. Even if abaleton is not running. Can't seem to find the setting. I would guess REL is set to INF. But I cant find it.
When will they allow it to import actual Xpander sysex? I heard that the parameter values don't really match a real Xpander. I hope they fix this very soon.
HI, I cannot get the pedal to sustain. I tried to follow your instructions but it did not work. there is a modulation page in the middle and a button at the bottom. if you click on the bottom mod button and select a open empty slot and select pedal 1.. it is then asking for an amount and destination. can you please help with a better explanation.
Hello. I'm thinking about buying the Hydrasynth Desktop, but there's a great deal on with the Arturia 8 V collection (less than half the price of the Hydrasynth). I appreciate that they are two different things but do you think that it's worth spending a lot more for a Hydrasynth than having a large collection of different synths. Thanks for your answer.
Yeah that's where you interact! What sound is he using look for the name. Then dial in that preset ray something for the first one, analog I can't remember, but that's how you learn. just try out what he is mentioning. You'll be surprised at how just one control change changes the mood o fan insturment.
No ! You provide by keeping up with where he started. Interactivity isn't bad. and the smart teachers demand it from you. you have to stop tape and back up and find what sound they had a preset on than try all thouse things on the preset. That is how you figure out what an instrument is. David Bowie used to try to get the instruments to do what they weren't supposed to do. and encorperate a discussion about a particular mood by a noisy envelope.
It's like Dana Carvey doing a George Bush impression. You can tell who he is pretending to be, but you know it's not really George Bush speaking. Basically a toy. You're never going to nail Oberheim sweepable notch in software.
This vst sounds amazingly good. Depends on where you are coming from. When side by with real instruments played by good players, any and all synths sound like toys.
@@rockyhill9965 Eh. I have an Xpander. It's missing the mingling character of slightly offset VCO's. And the filter doesn't make the hair on your arms stand up. They are just "kinda like" the 15 actual filters in the Xpander and M12.

+Ian Goold I'm so sick of dongles :)
+Elsif no doubt. They are the worst.

Great job.
I can't get enough of this MONSTER VST. It sits in every single one of my tracks. Just truly magnificent.

Oh, mid-performance!
Glen, you're videos are great.

That would be freaking beautiful
I love this vst a LOT! The M12 was a beast, it's on par with complex digitals like the microwave...
Great stuff, I just installed it yesterday and this has helped a lot.
Mr. Darcy, you're a pimp sir. Incredible product. Such a nice simple, vintage style. Nothing else in my vsts compare to this

Can someone explain the VCA 2 function? It just drones when I turn it up but I can't figure out what it's for.
Thanks, great tutorial
Does it have a random button to create random patches?

This looks great, might have to get this!
my shopping list has just added this synth
!

It’s interesting to watch this after purchasing the Hydrasynth and seeing just how similar it is to the Matrix12
Yeah but is light years away from the hardware Matrix 12.

I have bugs on it, notes are stacking during play and kinda turns me off to write new melody -_-
can anyone help me with instructions to get the pedal sustain. the instructions they gave do not work..
Now i hear you stop with elicenser! After so long time... congratulation ! I dont know this when i wrote my first comment, i swear !
I can't understand how to make it velocity sensitive
I put a mod source 'Velocity' on AMP but it didn't help
Ivan Zakharov did you turn up the actual source knob too? Matrix is just a map, it still needs telling how much change to make.
@@ogasi1798 and how to make it?
Please please please bring the Matrix 12v to the iPad Pro and or the iPad Air 2!!!!
you're the best
One day i buy all Arturia plugs, but i wait for the day Arturia stops with this dongle security things !
They have stopped...!
Please arturia no more analog synths start recreating the beautiful samplers if the 80’s like the ensoniq mirage or the emu emulator II
They listened to you
Awful 'tutorial', he should demonstrate these functions instead of describing them in a boring drawl.
Disappointing.
Wow, the guy just explained how a synth works and you're disappointed? Entitlement.

Way too much talking. Not enough sounds.
