Nanshe is the only perfume by Nishane in my collection 😊 I simply adore it!
You said exactly how I feel about Ani and Nefs. I only smelled it once in the shop and that's how I put it in my own words as well. Why people are talking about Ani and not Nefs! I am so proud of myself that our tastes match.
Omg….Ani is one of my favorite fragrances. Period
I am from Istanbul and I had bought a discovery set first. Some fragrances was too masculin or too fresh for me that doesn't match with me. And some of feminine fragrances were not so uniek for me (as hundred silent ways) that doesn't deserve the price in my opinion.
But then I tried Nanshe.
Oh my gosh 😍
Firt I felt a lot vintage and mature.
But later I loved it a lot.
So uniek ,so high quality and smells luxury. The performance is unbelievable, lasts all day and even the days later on my clothes.
I can say that the best fragrance of Nishane for me.
PC/ Your pronunciation is right
Nishane- "sh" is as in English.
'Hane' means 'house' in Turkish .
I completely agree with the Ani thing. I feel the bergamot and ginger are completely distracting and I don’t feel like the Vanilla is that great
Nishane ANI is beautiful 🔴
Love this video. Nefs is by Chris Maurice.
Nanshe is such a unique smell. I don’t get many compliments but I get a compliment every time I wear this perfume. It smells lovely in the air around you.
I have Nanshe (actually I decluttered it once and immediately regretted it - literally what was wrong with me??!). I love it SO MUCH and am actually wearing it to the office today! It is also my favourite Nishane that I've tried!
I like how your (negative) criticisms don’t come as petty.
It's always great to see you Thomas! Thank you for popping by from time to time to give us your expert opinion on fragrance..I hope you have been well. You look great! Lately I have been all over the place with the insanity of new releases from so many houses from Niche, Indy and Designer AND all the new fragrance houses on the scene! Gosh- we live in the era of the Perfume Explosion...LoL! I wish I owned more Nishane...I own Ani and Hundred Silent Ways..I have smelled Nanshe..love that one too! But, yeah- it's such a great house. Have you discovered any new scents or new houses as of late? Let us know ..Love you Thomas! ❤
I own Sultan Vetiver and Ani in full bottle form and yeah, Ani is very overrated, just like Hacivat which grab the Aventus vibe in a bad way. People somehow tend to enjoy when I wear Ani though. It smells like vanilla sugar. On the other hand, Sultan Vetiver is one of the greatest in its genre imho.
I was so excited to see you have a new video! I got caught up on the you-tubers gushing about Hundred Siklent Ways, so I blind bought it and got thick, syrupy florals that nearly made me ill. It also went sour on my skin so sadly, I sold it. I too love that name. Nanshe sounds up my alley as I love iris, but reviews say it is a rose perfume? I don't love rose forward perfumes that much. How rosey is it? Thank you! Julia
I’m so curious now to try Nefs! 😊 I am on a no-buy till January, I have to remind myself. 😅
It’s well liked in the fragrance community because everyone pronounces it “niche”…
Jokes aside, I thoroughly agree about Nishane and other smaller houses copying mainstream perfumes to build sort of a ‘backbone for the brand, because these pleasant and familiar, un-offensive everyday scents are what sells- period.
But if you pay 200 euros for it and the House Name says “Niche”… you’re a very sophisticated person, I guess.
Very nice description ouch!
LOVE YOU wish I could turn off that music. Sometimes, I double-speed to listen. The music isn't great normal, or sped up, but I love you and your reviews.
Noted!
Nishane has a STRONG reputation for telling influencers to explicitly NOT mention free bottles and that basically made me never want to buy another from them. Not a good practice!
How did you know?
@@Kc-qe5dv it’s fairly well known but I have friends who have decently successful Instagram channels and one on YT who all got the same note with their free bottles. It encouraged them to not say they got the bottle for free. That doesn’t sit right with me so I’m done with them.
Yeah ...proof?
@@kristofraemdonck don’t have a screenshot for ya, so go ahead and do what you want.
I always buy nishane at discounters , never pay full retail .
Agreed on Ani, and Hundred Silent Ways makes my nose burn. Have to try the good ones you mentioned!
I always love Nishane reviews, as it’s the house I have bought the most frags from to date (all blind buys…...yikes). I’m so glad to hear you mention Nanshe. I just ordered it based on the cardamom note, but previously only found 1 review….I should receive it tomorrow and can’t wait to try it! Another unsung hero is Tuberoza. I agree about HSW. It’s far too overhyped to be such an underwhelming offering from the house. I REALLY want Nefs but that price point…..eesh
Alexandria perfumes?
Yes, I wound up giving Ani to my son, as it struck me more a masculine frag, very dark to me...... and I was just wondering if it might smell different on him. Well, let's put it this way, he sniffed the bottle and I would say he is a little afraid of it. LOL
Hasn't worn it yet. I think he's waiting for the weather to drop in the 40s, maybe 30s.
I'm going to spray it tonight out on my porch when it gets cooler, just to get those molecules thinned out, maybe invite neighbors for a sit out one cool evening to see if they mention that "gorgeous" scent. I really want to know the so called "gorgeous" scent they are raving about.
If I find that "g " spot scent, I will update the review I recently left on Fragrantica, which is in greater detail of the scent than what I left here.
Hello dear
Long time l
Love watching you and your opinion
Merci beaucoup
Thank you from the USA
I actually love Kredo and Ani 😅 I can obviously see the similarity to Oud Wood with Kredo but it feels a bit darker to me and lasts longer so I am happy.
I don’t care what people say,The dry down on Kredo is great!! One of my favorite oud colognes
Can I know if Kredo have the same smell as Versace Oud Noir? I saw the review it says the same. Please let me know coz if it’s quite the same , I will not buy Kredo
@khairulmuzzamirmatkassim4500 it's closer to Oud wood but it's similar enough that I don't think you need both tbh, have you tried Papilefiko? That's another great Nishane that has got me many compliments.
@@ukguy will check it out . Thanks man 👍🏼
Thanks for the video, Thomas. I'm infatuated by Nefs, one out of the top drawer. I also agree with your assessment of Ani...meh
I actually do enjoy HSW but I did not and would not pay retail for it. Nanshe is my fave so far too, and I did manage to pick that up in a sale so not quite as low as “second hand bottle” prices I typically like to chase but still a good deal. I haven’t tried Nefs - too scared at that price! 😱
Great video as always Thomas! I love your channel, but the music is distracting.. 🙄
Tuberoza is one of my signature fragrances, such a perfect blend!
This one is in My wishlist.
I finally got my hands on a sample of Ani this week, and I had the same reaction as you did, kinda blah. I barely get ANY vanilla btw. It wasn't at all what I hoped it would be or what I expected. I am a uber fan of Ambra Calabria. That will be a fragrance for life for me. I want to try Nefs....
Ambra Calabria 😍
Nefs is a smooth operator.
I have noticed a lot of people. pronounce oud just as you do, but I researched this some while back, and I believe "oud" as you pronounce it is incorrect. I think it is supposed to be pronounced "rod." Am I wrong?
I have and looove Nanshe! ❤
I have been so tempted to purchase. How would you compare it to, if any! ?😅
I have wulong cha, ani, and hacivat. Maybe I should go for Nanshe next.
Question for anyone that knows, do you need to macerate these? The sample I have is stronger than the hacivat I have at the moment.
Thanks so much for these reviews! I just got a decant of 100 silent ways and don't like it at all! Smells like a grandmothers perfume. I found Ani to be kinda boring
Ill try the ones you like best next sample order! 💚
I've still not tried anything from Nishane yet... 🌹
Nishane is originally a Persian word and means SIGN, نشانه
Hey from Turkey 👋🏻
What fragrance do you adore but just cannot wear in public?.
the thing about Oud Wood TF si that it has 0 longevity good projection initially costs half my arm, so why wouldnt other houses take that DNA and twist it to their likings ? Same thing with Aventus great DNA, poor longevity the orginial thing is basically a scam at this point. That's how i see it, also both brands got bought and THEN quality dropped so for me both Aventus and Oud Wood do not exist on the market anymore only their shells
Hi, do you think Nefs is leaning towards the muschlin side ?! I have the same reaction to Ani, boring with very muschlin opining, even though I am not girly so feminine fregrance fan but still don’t get the hype behind Ani
did you try nawab of oudh by ormonde jayne? would love your review
Tried few from this house. Didn't find interesting to purchase a fb. 😌
Nishane is pronounced as you do! Nişane is a Turkish word but since there is no "ş" in the English alphabet, they used "sh" in the brand to make it more universal! Tell that Turkish person my greetings haha! :)
Do you work in Manchester Airport? I've seen you before
Would you like to review comme des garcons fragrances
Nis-Hayne
Yay we have a 4th pronunciation :)
Haaaaa!
What about MANA?🤔
❤
Afrika olifant is best from the house
Im looking in trying nanshe as i recently purchased afrika olifant and its amazing!!❤
They has a quality perfumes but nothig spectacular overrated house .
Ani is not from 2023, wonder how you Fame to that.
Had to stop watching after he ranked Ani so low.....
With my Ani decant, tried so many times - but just doesn’t do it for me. It wears me out. Fatigues me after a few hours.
I am anxious to try Nefs!😃
I recommend you try Ani X then. I personally think it was made for people who found Ani to be too much. For me, Ani X was love at first sniff. I bought it a week ago, and can't stop wearing it)) It's so light and airy. Bright, but not cloying at all. It makes me smile and daydream every time I wear it.
Ooh lala. I will definitely nab a sample. I bet you are right in my case! Thank you
what a wonderful video, you're just so charismatic! got to subscribe!
kind wished you would have reviewed unutamam as well
for me its uniqueness is akin to that of nefs, if anything, a bit grimmer
