Just listened to the interview. Amazing. Whoever is editing these videos--you need to stop cutting it how YOU want it to be. It's misleading and I guarantee Howard would be pissed.
I love that Howard Stern flips over the bass line and Keith explains how that happened. Because Bill Wyman's bass with that guitar riff is simply rock and roll lethal.
It was 1964 I was 18 and had just graduated from HS and was a the Friday night dance at Cascade Park in New Castle, Pa. And I heard "Satisfaction" for the first time. What a blessing to hear Kieth talking about writing it neary 50 years later. Thank you Keith and Howard for being in my life.
Perfect for Satisfaction to have horns. Forever the riff master and true king pirate of rock and roll Keith Richards. Thank you to Andrew for contributing to these masterpieces. ❤ ♥️
Howard thank you for being in the studio with the legend Keith Richards. Sometimes the interviewees deserve to have the interviewer in the studio with them. It makes me feel a lot better to see you both there together.
I remember hearing 'Satisfaction' on the AM car radio in 1965. If you turned it up, distortion made the bass sound better. I was 9 and I wanted to join 'The Stones'
In another interview, KR says he came up with the opening riff to Satisfaction, got out his cassette recorder, and recorded a few cycles of it. The rest of the 45 minutes on the cassette is him snoring. LOL.
These days with modern tech it would be possible to make that horns mix of the song, that Keith originally had in mind. Just replace the guitar riff with horns, i would love to hear it. Keith's pure vision.
Keith Richards is one hell of a songwriter. He wrote "Angie" "Ruby Tuesday" and the majority of "Satisfaction" including the riff.. Mick is a good lyricist, but Keith wrote the beautiful melodies for the Stones. You can almost compare him to Paul McCartney`s role in the Beatles. They are both very melodically gifted. I am not saying that Lennon didn`t write beautiful melodies in the Beatles, but Paul and Keith were they main melody writers for the Beatles and the Stones.
(I Can't Get No) "Satisfaction" composed by Mick & Keith. One of those early songs composed by those two for which they own the music publishing. So long, Allen Klein!

Can I get the interview for free here in London UK? I mean, I'm where the Stones are from...

Love how Keith sometimes snores in between sentences. God I'm going to miss him when he passes away....40 years from now.
He might outlive you. I'm half his age and it wouldn't surprise me if he outlives me! LOL
We gotta start thinking about what kind of world we're gonna be leaving behind for Keith Richards
I thought Keith would kick the can back in the 90's.
He won't miss you.
@@keith3970 Wow, so profound.
Keith's laugh and smile are so contagious.
So is Covid-19, but not in the same way.
The base sounds incredible! I could listen to base start to Satisfaction over and over.
I love that Howard Stern flips over the bass line and Keith explains how that happened. Because Bill Wyman's bass with that guitar riff is simply rock and roll lethal.

Nearly 60 years later, no?
there is no way you could have heard Satisfaction in 1964, since the song was released in mid 1965
I appreciate the wonder of Keith now more than ever. Genius!
Listen to Keith Don't Go by Nils Lofgren if you want to hear a tribute to Keith Richards.
Perfect for Satisfaction to have horns. Forever the riff master and true king pirate of rock and roll Keith Richards. Thank you to Andrew for contributing to these masterpieces. ❤ ♥️
One love for Keith! Such an amazing songwriter and guitarist 🤟🏼🤘🏼🎸
Love Kieth & the stones !
By far the best rock band of all time ❤
Timeless
What a cool cat Kieth has always been
Howard knocked it outta the park with this interview ❤
How Keef is still alive is beyond me....a marvel of modern science. Legend 👏
Even crazier he looks better now than he did 20 years ago lol
They would go to a doctor in Europe, and have all their blood removed and new blood put in
He's not living as recklessly These days -
thats a hologram of keith
The fact he was almost taken out by a coconut tree is so on character 😂
Howard thank you for being in the studio with the legend Keith Richards. Sometimes the interviewees deserve to have the interviewer in the studio with them. It makes me feel a lot better to see you both there together.
Howard, you are the absolute best . Keep rockin pal, love you.
Great song, timeless after nearly sixty years.
No doubt. Early stones is still great rock to listen to. While early Beatles is dated. Don't get me wrong, I love the Beatles.
I remember hearing 'Satisfaction' on the AM car radio in 1965.
If you turned it up, distortion made the bass sound better.
I was 9 and I wanted to join 'The Stones'
The Stones are definitely an anomaly. Once in a lifetime. And, of course, another new album out!
I'm in love with Keith, I'm learning so much lately.. I'm soo impressed
Surprised at how fast Keith's recollection of facts is. He hasn't forgotten a thing.
They are true genius, each in a different way ❤🔥❤️
And, he doesn’t remember, he can make it up!
I'd trust Bill's recollections more. ;)
I think remembering things that happened years ago is the norm. It's the recall of recent happenings that tend to slip.
He looks deep fried, but I'm amazed at how sharp and witty he still is. Love you Keef ! ❤
Looks good
Have you insult him..smh.
He looks pretty good tbf
Brilliant stuff , keep on Rolling .
It is a gift that he is so lucid.
Lord Keith Richards. Lord Richards! Absolutely definitely fits him well. I love you KEITH Richards now and forever.
Gracious. As always.
One of a kind human.
Love Howard in studio
The number 1 most recognizable guitar riff of all time.
That riff was originally supposed to be horns.
Wyman is an incredibly underrated player... for example JJF would be nothing without him
Wyman and Mick Taylor are the secret sauce.
Keith plays bass on Jumping Jack Flash
Wyman's tone in that Altamonte documentary is so good. Haunting
No he's not underrated
why on earth would you mention one of the Stones songs where Bill Wyman does not play the bass?
...legend!....
Happy 80th birthday Keith Richards!!!
I love that jacket
Otis Redding did an amazing cover. With horns.
It’s amazing. ❤
Being a fan of Steve Harris, greatest bass player of all time, I’m always looking for the bass.
And he is a fan of rinus gerritsen .Golde earring 😂
In another interview, KR says he came up with the opening riff to Satisfaction, got out his cassette recorder, and recorded a few cycles of it. The rest of the 45 minutes on the cassette is him snoring. LOL.
Keef playing air bass 😂! What a legend.
I can’t get No satisfaction ♥️🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶✌️♥️
Satisfaction!!! N1 Iconic r&r song!!!
I wonder why Keith Richards says, “Sometimes I wish we had (stopped)”
Nothing but a simple joke
It’s known in Britain as ‘taking the piss’.
Keef is a leg end!
Keith: “Sometimes I wish we had”😂
jesus, he looks sort of healthy
He's definitely been focusing on his health the past few years. He looks so much healthier than he did in 2019 when I saw them play in Denver.
He looks great and sounds good.
Timeless
KEEF ❤
Classic song
Cheers keef from Cleveland
The Wetton-Bruford-Crosd-Muir lineup was incredible
These days with modern tech it would be possible to make that horns mix of the song, that Keith originally had in mind. Just replace the guitar riff with horns, i would love to hear it. Keith's pure vision.
super-human legend.
F'ing treasure trove...this is required listening !
Awesome!
I don’t know why everybody says Howard Stern is such a good interviewer.
BASS! Yes! Bassist rule. Bill Wyman is a quiet genius..
Unbelievable!
Stay strong Stones!
Makes perfect sense for that song to have had horns!
When did Johnny D visit the show!?

Strawberry Fields Forever? In My Life? Dear Prudence? Lennon wrote great melodies.
Absolutely, though Brian co-wrote Ruby Tuesday's melody.
@@TheaterPup no he didn’t. Brian didn’t write anything for the rolling
Stones.
Yes he did actually, and it's not the only one he should have received co-credit for.@@Gcssdvnkloiutesc

I THINK IM INLOVE W/ U BUDDY
The guitar is even made to have the tonal quality of a horn to emulate that.
Tell us something we don't know! As a Rolling Stones fan I've heard all this stuff before. Ask Mr Richards what he had for breakfast instead, Howard.
Keith, for what it's worth... For over 50 years I thought the opening riff was a sax!
KEEF!
Yep, nice how the bass goes to the 4 rather than follow the guitar riff to the 7, so that riff bounces from E5 to A SUS
Wow, Keef looks pretty good here for 108...must be the 53rd blood transfusion...
👍👍👍
Keef!!!
Otis Redding wrote Satisfaction.
Sing-ger
Give a Horn player a job.
“Listen to the part that you didn’t write Keith!”
BOBBY KEYS
im not listening to the interviews anymore as they are wook ..to much Therapy with every single guest.
It's very wrong that an interviewer digs into the creative process of the bass line in satisfaction. Keith should have told that zydek to get lost.
Ikr? “Listen to the part you aren’t playing and not talk about your most iconic and successful guitar riff”
