Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far! I can't believe I haven't done an EQ video on the channel yet. Hope this video is helpful for you! Time stamps below: 🕐 What is EQ - 0:17 🕑 Understanding the frequency spectrum - 0:43 🕒 Different types of EQs - 7:22 🕓 Sound design vs. mixing with EQs - 8:47 🕔 Examples of EQ in my mix - 10:31 🕕 Types of filters - 15:10
Just what I needed, I've recently installed fl studio and I'v been watching your videos using Sytrus it's more flexible compared to GMS and I've heard equalisation is important in music production so thank you very much, looking forward to more Sytrus content, take care.
Hey man i really love ur videos, they are really helpful. I have a request on making choir sounds like in arcade plugin. In arcade there's a preset called distant voices. Can sytrus make that sound?
With Fabfilter Pro Q3 I see a lot of people brickwall the low end on leads and other samples, can that cause phasing issues? Isn't it better to roll of the low end with a less steep curve for example 24db/oct or 48db/oct? If so then when should you use the brickwall setting?
EQ does mess with the phase but I wouldn't worry about it to much in the producing and mixing stage of things. I know the Pro Q3 has a linear phase EQ which will maintain phase while you EQ, but that's usually used mostly for mastering purposes. You'll be able to really hear phasing issues if they are that out of whack. Otherwise I wouldn't really worry too much about steep high-pass filters cutting out the low end. I do it often for subs. Also, changing phase is not necessarily a bad thing. We do it all the time in sound design. I know this is kind of a popular topic and people seem to make a big deal about phase, but my opinion is just don't worry about it unless you can actually hear a difference and it sounds worse not better.
One more thing teach. Do you have any free instr. to play with. So I can re-create or throw a verse down on them. For promo use only. I am humbled by your sound style. Keep up the good work in helping. I like to practice free flows in the bandlab app. So I can write more and also recreate in my own instr. or loop instr. I create. If not that's ok. I'm not looking to be popular or what they call a G.O.A.T. Stay Lifted. ✌️💯
This is so helpful thanks....in the Parametric EQ 2 how do see or notice harsh freq. or resonance frequency?...sometimes I use EQ1 to do it...cause you dont get a wave form to point out high peaks...
You mostly need to use your ears. That's why it's important to know you frequency chart and what certain frequencies sound like. You'll be able to see it if there's a lot of build up in the parametric EQ 2 because it does give you a good visual in the plugin.
Sir how we can make music using templates that are available in fl studio 20 in file-Advanced-edm or so many templates. Using all this how we make music. Plz make video on it

I'll check it out. Some of those organic sounds it's best to just use a plugin that has already sampled the sound to make it sound more realistic

*Whenever I touch or change anything in helm it stop using my keyboard(or midi) signal so it is makes difficult for sound design*
Can't help sorry. Check the helm site and see if the synth has support. If so reach out to them. Wish I could help
