To make ppl shut up, just cause you beat a stage under 2 minutes, doesnt mean the game should grant you an A, 1. You were in a hurry and barely tried for rings/ect.... 2. You need to gain more points by collecting rings and killing off enemies, 3. To gain a good A rank, you need to have Both Rings & Points..... He did great Though Thumbs up lol
The beginning of this post is now paradoxical. I have refused to pass up the opportunity to prove you wrong. This is UA-cam, we never shut up. (and I mean this in the worst way possible)
At that bit with the loop where you run down the building, I once saw a video of a guy who managed to jump off, get massive air distance and somehow land right on the goal ring. Since then, I never found it again. Is it even possible? And does anyone know what video it is?
You're going faster than normal on those rails, normally I just release B when on a curve, but do you hold it down still? If so, how do you balance Sonic so that you maintain speed?
He went so fast that he refracted light in such a way that doesn't comply with the laws of physics, and therefore eschewed time and light in an unorthodox manner which then violated the games hierarchical systematics which then led to the improper placement of stated rank, also knows as the Anglo-Saxon English lingual second letter of the alphabetical sequence, "B".
@JoeyFreakRox Chao-wise: Modified gardens, different Chao minigame, the amount animals/drives increase stats, stat caps, events in the Chao Stadium, and Battle includes the Black Market. Level-wise: An exclamation point appears over Knuckles/Rouge when near a shard in Battle, several changes that vary from level to level, cameo appearances from Big the Cat during levels in SA2, and the ability to pull out the board at will on Metal Harbor by pressing a button on a second Dreamcast controller.
Amazing run dude also love the low video quality to personally as it reminds me of downloading low videos from late 90s or early 00s XD. Hope you're doing well dude I used to watch your videos alot years ago.
when will youtube is going to fix the glitch where sonic 2 adventure review in a nutshell is related to sonic adventure 2 battle videos and sonic adventure dx emerald coast videos??
@dravenroughnecks I totally agree, this game was incredible. Clocking 1:02:19 sounds near-impossible (are you sure it was Mission 1?), but I might try some speedruns myself to see what I can do. A question for anyone else, does collecting rings while on your board at the beginning increase your speed? Because most people do in speedruns of this level.
i remember when i used to play this game as a kid, i always played each level while listening to a song on my old cd player. i had a song for each level i played, and i played each level the fastest i could to sink it up with the song. the cd i always played was nevermind, by nirvana. ah, such memories...btw, awesome speed run!
I loved watching this video .I just reminds me of just how much total control you rally had of Sonic's movements, whihc you do not have anymore with the current Sonic games.
this game took up like a year of my childhood. that one summer me and my friends all got it, was the greatest summer ever. what an opening level too, it just comes right at you with the boarding. its like it screamed "YOUR PLAYING FUCKING SONIC!!!! GET USED TO IT!!!" man this game rules
@ANWhat1 im pretty sure it's near the second set of red bars after you run down the face of the huge building. look up a video because that was a very general description
@dino988 You do, it's like an extra few thousand points but by taking it a little slower you get quite a lot of jumps and combos that take a few seconds longer but give you like 800 points each.
@AnsemDerWURST To get an A rank he needed more points. In Sonic/Shadow missions the only time you really just need to be 'fast' is Mission's 2&3 (Collect 100 rings/Find Lost Chao).
You are much much better at It than me!!! I love how no matter how fast you go on certain corners the truck still catches you up! Haha :) and @TheGuillermo54 Dreamcast FTW I can't thumbs up on my IPod got the original on Gamecube too :)
O.O" (still shocked) I'd imagine you wouldn't take the ramps...but this...is pure genius... I wonder, did you time all of those? (when sonic curls up...I guess it really does make a difference...)
i dont remember the last time i got a B on this one. but how to you do the little power ball thing so easily? i always end up doing a rolling front kick thing unless i stand still
hey how did you spindash up that ramp at 1:12? every time i try it sonic goes up halfway and then stops and drops back down to the begining of the boost panels
This game is memories! Me and a couple of my friends used to train up and kept on trying to get dark chao all the time!:D When i was this young there was nothing to think about but playing video games..Now there is just studying, studying, studying :-/
Go to Green Jungle, there's an area where you go up on a ramp, then you go upside down, then hit a spring. You will land on a platform, and go back and you'll find an item box. Homing attack it, then homing attack again, and you'll hit an enemy. Keep homing attacking and you'll go to the power-up. You can youtube it if you don't get it.
omg this game was awesome! I beat the story seriously like 20 times, but the most memorable hard level for me was that stupid find the emeralds with rouge when trying to get them before the island explodes
I don't know but emulators maybe? The game was only released for the Dreamcast and later Gamecube. I am not sure if there are Dreamcast emulators for PS2 or that Swap magic works for PS2.
This is why I love sonic games True speed runs lol..there's so much talk that goes around the games....I love em all and if anyone doesn't they shouldn't play...go sonic ! :D
@captainjotaro Yea sonic 06 was on the xbox 360 and PS3, sonic generations was on Xbox and PS3 and they also remade Sonic Adventure DX on Xbox so why Not?
@dino988 The ranks are based on overall points rather than just speed. You lose out on lots of opportunities for major points if you're just speed running it.
Holy s*** dude, you are a pro at this! It's a shame you got a B rank though; maybe cause you didn't defeat enough enemies & get more combos, I dunno. All in all, that was AWESOME!!
@zetaro128 It's just the sonic adventure 2 soundtrack. You can find mediafire or megaupload downloads of it on google. (: It's got some pretty awesome drum 'n' bass, techno and punkrock.
@SonicCircuit I was merely making a reference to There will be blood. Hopefully, Sega took careful attention to Sonic Generations, or there will be blood.....

(and I mean this in the worst way possible)
doesn't mean you can't try. the internet wasn't invented to babble on about nothing important
My best time is 2:28:00 exactly. That was pretty damn awesome!! I'm blown away. Well done! :D
Cut it down to 2:15:96 since then.
City Escape
Mission: Bypass the bullshit
the Bass on this song was what really drew me in, and Crush 40 is an incredible band to begin with. =)
At that bit with the loop where you run down the building, I once saw a video of a guy who managed to jump off, get massive air distance and somehow land right on the goal ring. Since then, I never found it again. Is it even possible? And does anyone know what video it is?
i think that is a glitch-bug, but is impossible xD
Sonicsimpson Lag-a-lot you talking about this video ?
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle - City Escape M3 - 1.01.90 - WR
gimmy savard No...
Must've been fake.
SS You are not crazy. It's possible in TAS I believe
i saw this video, but can't leave a link, this was a TAS video, some old stuff (
That was quite an adventure. It was amazing how you had a second left. Still my favorite game till this day!
You're going faster than normal on those rails, normally I just release B when on a curve, but do you hold it down still? If so, how do you balance Sonic so that you maintain speed?
You tilt slightly against the direction of the curve
"Trust Your Feelings, got to Live and Learn " Behold a hint of the game's future video game greatness
BADASS
WOW.... Great job dude
how the fuck is this a B??
Reason: Too awesome.
He didn't have enough points.
he needs 10000 for A Rank
He went so fast that he refracted light in such a way that doesn't comply with the laws of physics, and therefore eschewed time and light in an unorthodox manner which then violated the games hierarchical systematics which then led to the improper placement of stated rank, also knows as the Anglo-Saxon English lingual second letter of the alphabetical sequence, "B".
SkyR923
I like the way you think.
Overboard and Omnidirectional. Grats to you sir.

Been playing this game since 2002 and it's still unbelievably amazing.
when will youtube is going to fix the glitch where sonic 2 adventure review in a nutshell is related to sonic adventure 2 battle videos and sonic adventure dx emerald coast videos??
Knowing Sonic Team, they probably didn't mean for a Sonic game to be as fast as this! ^^ Well done!
Goddamn, there are some moments here which are either pure skill or the most luck I have ever seen O.o its quite awe-inspiring
i remember this. this was the first sonic adventure 2 battle video i watched on youtube. and it's awesome!
@dravenroughnecks I totally agree, this game was incredible. Clocking 1:02:19 sounds near-impossible (are you sure it was Mission 1?), but I might try some speedruns myself to see what I can do.

I loved watching this video .I just reminds me of just how much total control you rally had of Sonic's movements, whihc you do not have anymore with the current Sonic games.
brings back so many memories listening to the theme song and watching the whole thing
Your vids are the best sonic adventure vids I have ever seen in my life! I mean are you even trying!?
That was some serious running you did there. Awesome.
This brings me back. This game is one of the best Sonic Games EVER ! Or maybe even the best Sonic game EVER !
this game took up like a year of my childhood. that one summer me and my friends all got it, was the greatest summer ever. what an opening level too, it just comes right at you with the boarding. its like it screamed "YOUR PLAYING FUCKING SONIC!!!! GET USED TO IT!!!" man this game rules
@ANWhat1 im pretty sure it's near the second set of red bars after you run down the face of the huge building. look up a video because that was a very general description
this game was undoubtedly the best sonic game ever. i have so many memories.
This brings back so many memories of playing this with my friend at a sleepover for hours.
this scene and song are so vivid in my mind after so many years
Where did you get that type of spindash?
@nick14877
They make guitars that sound like drums and the human voice?
*sniffeling* that was so amazing.. your even better than ME (and im good ^_^) i think i might cry!
@bigandre15 yes this has the slightly better chao system than the dreamcast counterpart. (karate, showing stats)
when i had my gamecube when i was younger this was my favorite game and my favorite song next to live and learn.
I could write any letter grade I wanted but it would not fit the sheer awesomeness of this run.
This music makes this level look like a movie scene, the epic chase scene, i love the chase scene
@classicrockrockz
Except the mission ends when the goal ring is touched, which is at 2:03 in the video (but 1:59 on the level timer).
@dino988 You do, it's like an extra few thousand points but by taking it a little slower you get quite a lot of jumps and combos that take a few seconds longer but give you like 800 points each.
@imhevenly Actually if you pause the video at 2:02 the timer in the top right says 1:59.54 so yeah it was under two minutes XD
@AnsemDerWURST To get an A rank he needed more points. In Sonic/Shadow missions the only time you really just need to be 'fast' is Mission's 2&3 (Collect 100 rings/Find Lost Chao).
this was the first game me and my bro got for the gamecube on christmas 2003. still have it to this day.
Yeah... I remember playing this, still have it also! Rockin out to City Escape. Loved it.
You are much much better at It than me!!! I love how no matter how fast you go on certain corners the truck still catches you up! Haha :)
and @TheGuillermo54 Dreamcast FTW I can't thumbs up on my IPod got the original on Gamecube too :)

thats what brought me here i remeber this being my favorite game for gamecube when i first got it
this is one of the most legendary levels in gaming history
this is a much better speed run than all of the BS tool assisted speed runs that are on YT
This game is memories! Me and a couple of my friends used to train up and kept on trying to get dark chao all the time!:D When i was this young there was nothing to think about but playing video games..Now there is just studying, studying, studying :-/

Loved this game. And the chao race concept.
@supercritical100 no, considering how long it takes most average players to get down it, it was built on mount olympus.
dude i miss this game i beat it like 20 times and never got bored of it god i miss those days when i had a sonic chao. lol
how do you know, i already have sonic adventure for my xbox 360, is there any announcement for SA2B?
omg this game was awesome! I beat the story seriously like 20 times, but the most memorable hard level for me was that stupid find the emeralds with rouge when trying to get them before the island explodes
I don't know but emulators maybe? The game was only released for the Dreamcast and later Gamecube. I am not sure if there are Dreamcast emulators for PS2 or that Swap magic works for PS2.
wow, that was awesome. God I love this game and its music
I prefer Knuckles mission than Werehog mission on Sonic Unleashed :P
Nice Video, I'd like to see one in esmerald coast too.
I remember when I was staying at my cousins house, we would play this level for around an hour. Repeating it when we finished. Now II need to buy it.
can someone explain how to do the little hold b and then start rolling?
Thanks-a-load man. Got it this morning.
This is why I love sonic games True speed runs lol..there's so much talk that goes around the games....I love em all and if anyone doesn't they shouldn't play...go sonic ! :D
hi can someone please tell me if this is the one were u can get the "chao" gardens?
@captainjotaro Yea sonic 06 was on the xbox 360 and PS3, sonic generations was on Xbox and PS3 and they also remade Sonic Adventure DX on Xbox so why Not?
hey what whats the difference between sonic adventure 2 and sonic adventure 2 battle?
@dino988 The ranks are based on overall points rather than just speed. You lose out on lots of opportunities for major points if you're just speed running it.
@Kiryu141 You can play Gamecube games on the Wii, if you buy a Gamecube controller.
Every time i watch a video about an old game, most of the comments are "This game brings back so many memories"
frankly i am sick of these comments
every time i try to go around that loop toward the end, he doesn't make it. He just falls off the loop and i end up missing the under 2 minute mark...
also its judged on enemies hit and speed, also how many retrys/deats
How do u do tricks? Sorry, i just got the game from my friend, and he didn't give me the instruction booklet
Do you maintain/gain momentum when your in a ball going down the hill?
If you look very close my gamecube has different texture but these textures are more different!
when i was younger i would play this game over and over just to listen to the music on this stage
I "All A-Ranked" this game years ago. . how sweet it was.
@SanshinOfStirling well you should get a big point bonus for finishing so fast
Holy s*** dude, you are a pro at this! It's a shame you got a B rank though; maybe cause you didn't defeat enough enemies & get more combos, I dunno.
All in all, that was AWESOME!!
Omg that part with the truck was scary as hell for me :o
hahaha baaarely under 2 minutes xD
nice one dude
i learned a new short cut =P
That's crazy!!! Mad nice though. I give u props
What's with all the hills? Must be Pittsburgh or something.
oh yeah DsS, i meant to ask you what game are you playing currently and if you are ever going to take up SA2?
got so good at this because its the fastest way to earn random animals for your chao garden!
@Champass15 it's coming out for xbox arcade?
this game was amazing back in the day. i wonder why sega dont make a sonic adventure 3 for the Wii or the Ps3?
@zetaro128
It's just the sonic adventure 2 soundtrack. You can find mediafire or megaupload downloads of it on google. (: It's got some pretty awesome drum 'n' bass, techno and punkrock.
@superman4226
The final time displayed is 1:59, not 2:10
Fuck, its only 2010 and i already miss the 00s decade. This game is a legend.
what game system do you use on this game
i have it on my gamecube
How far into the game are you? If you've completed the Hero story (or even got about halfway through), you know how.
this video brings back great memories
I think I know how he is spin-dashing on the part with the truck.
Hold B while running then a second later, you dash.
you can buy it in either x-box live marketplace or playstation online marketplace
How did you record this? Been trying to look for a good recording system and I tried the dazzle but it didn't work =/
man, can you tell me where you download that game plz
It has been done for the 360/ ps3. This level was remade in Generations.
@superman4226
1:59 = 2:10?
What kind of bizarre math are you using?
@SonicCircuit I was merely making a reference to There will be blood.
Hopefully, Sega took careful attention to Sonic Generations, or there will be blood.....
