    I've done Tokyo with some of my exchange classmates in '11! What's most amazing if you're from America visiting tokyo is that if you leave on Christmas Day (around 9pm Japan time), you can fly back to America and spend christmas again because of the time zone difference lol. It was awesome to have 2 Christmases back to back.

      What is not to like? The social standards I suppose for work and family life. For the Japanese it's okay but people who live outside Japan its a mixed opinion (some would even argue its really bad). Most areas here in Japan are clean but very expensive.

    • @Zara-ry9it
      @Zara-ry9it 7 років тому +5

      I'd also like to point out Japan has a serious issue with overworking employees and from time to time while waiting for the Train we would get delays that are caused by suicides (people jumping off the rails) most common in Chuo line (where I frequently travel on).

    Trashcans are really, literally, non existent. I've been there before and everyone simply keeps their trash with them until they get home and dispose of it then. And yet, the streets and public places are always so, so clean. Major props to the Japanese. ^^

    There are no smoking sections in some restaurants in Japan, such as at some chain restaurants. It probably depends on the size and type of restaurant. Not all restaurants in Japan have diners smoking there. Even on the streets, it is uncommon to see someone smoking while walking. (Except for that guy in Shinjuku walking behind Mikey...😆)
    In Tokyo, at some larger train stations, they even have smoking rooms. So that smokers can go smoke in them, without polluting the air for everyone else. There are a few at Tokyo Station. Odd to see, when there is a glass enclosed room full of people smoking. I doubt people usually smoke randomly out in public, since littering is prohibited and people actually try to follow that rule.

      You are like this guy I come across on a channel about wankle engine. He keeps condemning the engine like you are going on about Japan.

  • @schuuichiminamino

    I'm late. People already commented about the Ginger flavor Kit Kat, the lack of trash cans, the masks, how Christmas is not a big deal in Japan, more like a "holiday" than family wise... There's not much left to say.
    I took JLPT N5 and N4 a long time ago. I studied a lot for N3 but didn't attend the test. If I was not locked up in my room 24/7, Japan and South Korea would be definitely my first destinations.

    I have to say it : you touched those fruits wayyy too much! My mom would always scold me for touching fruits in stores because it spoils them!
    Anyway, good video!And if you guys want to see the Shibuya scramble crossing without a soul, go there at 4 am on New Year'eve! Been there last year and my friends and I were the only one there (but lots of people on the subway at that hour that day and in the streets too!)! I regret not taking pictures of that place, empty, in the early morning!

  • @Zara-ry9it
