Thank you so much Karen ☺️ I felt like my explanation was all over the place because I filmed for separate videos, so I really appreciate your positive feedback 🤗💛
You did a wonderful job explaining your process. It was very clear and precise. Thank you so much! I usually prefer a lighter antique to the grunge, but the colors and fabrics you picked are beautiful. I am looking forward to the finished product.
Thank you Jo ☺️ I was a little nervous about sharing my process and getting all jumbled in the explanation, so it is good to know I might have helped you 🤗💛

Thank you so much for this video - I love your style and your journals & this video will be my inspiration to create something lovely - looking forward to the next process video 😊 😍
You did such a great job Kylie! You provided so much detailed information in such a concise way and it was all very easy to understand. I love your choice of fabrics, laces and papers, you really have great taste! Sorry I missed the journals 😭. Thank you for sharing your process! Sending much encouragement for more process/craft with me videos, ❤ Kate
Oh wow Kylie, you have amazing fabrics and laces, so gorgeous. Loved this video, I always like to see how every creator has their own style of constructing a journal. Great tip with the wooden ruler! Your stitching is beautiful straight. Like I thought the two journals where gone in seconds again. I think if you make 20 at a time they would be sold also haha. With a fabric cover I find it hard to keep the holes visible after making them, to sow in the signatures, it's like the fabric closes again, so to speak. But then I did use two fabrics with batting in between, so no cardstock., maybe that is why they are less visible. 🤩. I would love to see more of these video's 😀
Thank you so much for the encouragement Yvon ☺️💛 I make quite large holes to sew my signatures and sometimes use the awl to poke through and show where the hole is.. hope this helps 🤗
Hello there, I'm a newbie,. I've watched ur video & it's awesome. I like the idea of gluing the fabric down first, than running a stitch around the front and back. But my question ❓ is, wen ur finally sewing the inside fabric, doesn't the cardboard still show around all the edges? I have never seen a journal up close & personal. So I'm not aware if any cardboard is showing, any help you can provide me for assisting in my new journal would be grateful. I will be looking forward to seeing ur completed journal. Thank you for reading my comment, best regards PJ Cimorelli 🥀
Hello lovely, thank you for the question, I am happy to help... yes you can see cardboard if you pull the two fabric layers apart. I leave quite a bit of fabric as a border because I like the shabby look. You can fold and sew the fabric to create a neater edge or sew a second border to encase the cardboard. It really depends what look you want. Playing around with different ideas is the best way of finding your style ✨️💛
Hi Tanna, I am working up to doing step-by-step tutorials. My crafting is quite random and unorganised, so it is the discipline and time I need to sort for this to happen 😅💝
