interesting; mineral signed reservoir, dot singed pipe, what else may be mixed there?
I wish you have released this video sooner.I got myself the one light clutch half a year ago and i'm still not used to it.It's a easier pull but it has a bad feeling like on off,the stock clutch pump can be regulated so much better,i was constantly stalling my bike with the clake no matter how i set it up and sometimes it was even slipping and could potentialy destroy my clutch. Not the mention the bleeding and first setting it up,that was pain in the ass.
Yeh i know what you mean, to get any improvement in pull effort resulted in an inconsistent and notchy feel, i have ridden lots of ktms with there super light magura hydraulic clutches and after watching videos of the the clake thats what i was expecting, very dissapointed! My new wr450 will be getting a hymec and a clever lever so we'll see what thats like!
I finally solved the problems with my One light clutch. I had to disassemble it and found that the adjustment rod located under the little gold cap was not set properly and the piston seals were covering the reservoir ports so that it was impossible to bleed it completely. There was a constant stream of micro bubbles coming from the ports and debris collecting in the reservoir. I cleaned out a bunch of junk lodged in the seals and retapped some threads for the adjuster. After ensuring that a least the first port is uncovered I could now bench bleed the master in the traditional way and then burped the air out of the line before tightening it. There was no air left in the system and now I could adjust the push rod and got the Force/Balance to work properly. Unfortunately the manufacturer was zero help and barely acknowledged my discoveries. Impressive device but poor support.
Thanks for the Clake video. Just installed mine this weekend, 3+ plus hours bleeding. Expect it will be worth it. 👍I know you didn't love it but after lots and lots of adjustments, mine is epic. I'll try to post a video some day soon. 💪
Some bikes it seems to be really good, others it's awful, I've since gone with a magura hymec and a yfz450 clutch it's finally how I want it! Happy riding 👍
@@marktgsxr That's awesome news. Guess life's just about finding what works for us and letting others know along the way incase it works for them too.
Thanks again for posting. 😃
never seen one until the other day, my buddy needed me to ride his bike out of the creek. his bike had this clutch and I could operate it with my pinky, the pull effort required was so low. He said the critical part is installing the clutch and bleeding it. He said he loves it. Bike was a 2019 Sherco 300 woods bike. forget the actual trim/ model. Anyway, lightest pull i've ever felt. I only spent 1 minute on the bike but I can't get over how easy it was to pull the clutch, even a toddler could do it without getting tired fingers.
I wonder if your custom looking conversion kit is causing complications? Or if something isnt' right in your clutch internals?
Opinion seams very decided on them, people either say they work great or don't work atall, I since fitted a magura hymec and it's way better than the clake... No idea why but it was awful on my wr.....
Well that took a surprising turn!
I need lighter clutch feel as fingers arthritic in 2, my sons kx85 i can't seem to use the stunt clutch quick enough when riding fast so clutchless shift at times
Iv just put a magura hymec on my wr... best so far but its still not as good as modern ktm clutches...
Is it not worth trying a brembo now you've hydraulics?
I've actually gone to a magura now as the slave and line is already from them, MUCH MUCH better!
What brand if Hydraulic conversion kit for Yamazaki did you use?
I gotta say I disagree i fitted one to my 2020 beta 300rr and it's an absolute dream I love it
It seams to vary alot depending on bike,my friends got one on a kx500 and he says its a big improvement but on my wr450 it was awfull!
I think it helps if you got a hydraulic clutch to start off with
Same here mate I just fitted two of them on 2020 and 2021 beta`s 300rr and both are working amazing . takes some time to properly bleed the system but if done correctly it`s an amazing thing . I`ve played with the setting and really enjoy it now .
Thank you for the oddly relevant input! I just bought that same year and model.
Hi mate will you sell me the clutch and converstion kit to make back some of your money
Sorry mate iv already sold it!
I just can’t get over how awful it looks. I mean it looks like a 3rd graders science project that he got an F on.
Hahahaha that's so true!
