I had seen Funkadelic with Eddie at the Red Parrot in NYC in 1978. Eddie was cool as the other side of the pillow. No bout-a-doubt it. He was one of the guitar greats. This recording is an absolute treasure!
Holy shit !!! Thank you! It’s so frustrating being an Eddie hazel/ funkadelic fan there’s nothing online regarding eddies time in the band. Only the main albums and the solo stuff for the most part. No live recordings. Thanks
Yiu should listen to the krunchy album a nite for Jimi Shame not too many live recordings of Eddie performing and when he did perform in the 80s up until his death you don't get to hear him clearly they always had his volume low Then he was always performing with Mike and Byrd DND Mike would have his volume turned all the way up to where you couldn't hear Eddie and Eddie was at most times too strung out and I'll to fight
@@chrisedwards3214it still annoys me there's practically no live recordings available to us of the original Funkadelic lineup. I'd settle for some audience recordings at this point. Hearing Super Stupid live around the time Maggot Brain album was recorded would be spectacular. A Night For Jimi is great. Love Voodoo Chile.
@@chrisedwards3214thank you for mentioning that for the others here and believe you me ive been listening to the krunchy album since forever, when they did voodoo chile is one of my favorite musical gatherings ever. That slow blues. Eddie is one thing, but the others with him were also so far on point its not even funny. So grateful we have video footage of that conglomeration truly
I was also on guitar, along with Eddie & Wil Harris. Other players in the band: Chango Everett on drums, Preston Vizmila on keys, Emmanuel Chulo on bass,.

Sorry but this is the worst music recording I ever heard of sounds like a bunch of amateurs must be recorded in mono. And I love Hazel playing but this is a dis service to his memory.
I love turning people on to Eddie.

Eddie was the sound of FUNKADELIC, without Eddie George Clinton had to go in a different direction with Parliament. RIP Eddie Hazel 🥲
I was there!
please describe!
I believe eddie jamming with guitarists Wilbur harris of washington dc 30th century man.
Wow...I remember Wilbur when he played with the " Shadows of Soul " as a teenager. He was super talented way,way back then.

Oh my god! I didn’t know this testament of funky ass guitarisms existed. Thanks for posting.
Amazing!!! I didn’t know this is existed. You have a new subscriber. I’ll spread the word. 🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿
21:46 that photo is actually of Michael Hampton. I've seen articles even use that photo when talking about Eddie Hazel.
@BSIII Keen eye -- that is definitely Kidd with the patchwork jeans!
@@therecordjunkies Mike is a legend too 🤘🏼
He doesn't get enough credit, imo.
@@BSIIIWe'll put up something with him in the future. Disclaimer now: it won't be a soundboard.
You are correct
Who were the other musicians playing with Eddie on this?

We've been talking to each other in the comment section of almost every Funkadelic upload for years now lol. Even the rare ones like this

Cholly "Funk Get Ready to Roll" Brown
Hey , what do you want from a bootleg recording. We had no idea
wow
The sound is mufff but still good
Mac Daddy funk/rock.
It sounds like Paul Kossoff snuck into the gym and is playing somewhere in the middle of that purple Haze.
Hendrix approves
It seems pretty clear to me that Eddie Hazel never got the total recognition he was due. That is the fault of the music business.

It's a soundboard recording. What do you want?
It IS an amateur fan recording.
If you were there youd appreciate having this imprint left over to think back on and listen to
