@@bobsilver3983 very nice! if u do pull the trigger just make sure ur on top of all the preventative maintenances and you’ll be fine 👍🏽 mine has 232k now will driver till the wheels falls off! lol
I have a 2004 I'm fixing up, I-6 4.0. Had it for many years and love it, only 130K, but if I were to upgrade in years without buying a new car I'd be looking at one of these WKs. I really like the way the limited trim looks on these vehicles. I'd definitely put LEDs on the low beams right away. An advantage to getting one of these vehicles as opposed to a WK2 (2011+) is mechanically it's probably less complicated and less expensive to repair. Thank you for this overview. Nice rig!
Yeah my dad just bought another wk with the 5.7 that’s his fith one. I have a video on his second one. He had a 2011 and hated it. The 3.6 lorado just had a lot of issues.
I even have a video I meant to put up. But it’s an older Jeep he doesn’t have. I could still post it, but idk if it’s worth it. It’s comparing the exhaust notes.
Slight corrections. The 5.7 WK can tow up to 7,500 LBS, not just 4,000. Also, both V8 engines came with a 100% American 545RFE transmission, not a Mercedes transmission. The transmission behind the 3.7 V6 was partially Mercedes. I Definitely agree these are great SUVs, though. Had a WJ 4.7 that reached 337,596 miles before it was sold. Super reliable vehicles.
That’s awesome, my dad just bought a 2009 with the 5.7 and it’s around the same miles. And it runs like a beast. 4.7 does burn oil but if you can keep up with it, your good.
@@josharuni547 179k miles just did a tune up, engine still roaring and got plenty of power! Changed the air filter and got an oil and transmission fluid change . Gonna ride this thing til it hits 300k miles

This type of model the inside door handles break because of the cheap plastic that holds the door handles that you have to roll down the windows an open from the outside door it really makes a death trap if you have to get out in emergency Chrysler should have have this as a recall
Nice ride man. I love my 07' Grand Cherokee. I've had some issues. Keep getting a P0884 code. I replaced the computer but still get the code. I'm all in on mine so I'll figure that out. Run from Jeep. JUST EMPTY EVERY POCKET someone else said. There right constant major issues. All there engine are garbage. Known for transfer case Recalls. Overheating, blowing head gaskets left and right. Misfires on the number 3 cylinder. Gas tank problems, leaking seals. Stalling while driving, stuck on third gear. The ol unplug the cables from the computer trick...might help. Terrible TIPM design inconjunction with electrical issues. Poor ground problems, the YELLOW WIRE Starter jiggle trick. High weather elements exposure to electrical. Corrosion. That's across most models any year passed 2000. Recalls, Lawsuits, etc. Maybe a view we're lucky, but I'm not convinced. Additionally, when the itialians announced no more support. Dont have parts for the newer model. 🫣 There cheap and that's what you get. Don't buy used or new. I'm not sure if you can sell it to anyone.
May 07 jgc laredo v6 3.7 just surpassed 227K and she still runs like brand new!

Keep an eye on the oil. And check for any leaks, also keep an eye on the antifreeze. Only thing that can go wrong quickly is the hubs
