- When carbon fiber bike frames get damaged, they can often be repaired. But what happens when they can’t? We bought a nice Pinarello Prince but discovered bad corrosion around the bottom bracket shell and water bottle bosses. We can’t carbon repair it and we can’t sell it, so instead, we gave this road warrior an honorable burial.

I received an offer from TPC on my 2019 Full Dura Ace Cannondale SuperSix (with about 150 miles on it) which was so low that I decided instead to give it away to a kid down the street who was in love with it. I figure I'll feel much better about giving it to an aspiring young rider than I will be getting ripped off by TPC.
Unless you’re a racer or someone who replaces bikes frequently ride metal bikes. I ride steel on the road & gravel but my next bike will be Ti. Aluminum full suspension off road as well.

So, what you're not saying is that you haven't found a way to recycle carbon fiber? At least you're providing a resource so that others could recycle carbon fiber?
The undertakers… took them to the landfill. Not sustainable
6 to 8 thousand dollars down the drain, due to some moisture! No wonder companies are having a hard time selling this to consumers.
I would never in a million years ride a carbon fibre frame! 7005 aluminum is the best and ultimate material for a frame on the face of this planet!
