      @zerene edmonds Not this year, no. But we don't know what will happen in two years when he can choose to either sign or not sign the extension. We don't know if the moves Horst will make to replenish the team will work or not. Giannis will not stay if he feels like he can't win here. In 2020 he was so frustrated by Bud in the bubble he almost retired. Part of the reason Lasry sold his share is the uncertainty of Giannis coming back or not. Imo, our championship window is closed now with Khris, Jrue and Brook all aging and needing to be reupped. Bud wasted 4 years out of this window with bad playoff losses, a major rebuild is coming. You think Giannis wants to be part of that? The vultures are circling the team ready to pick all the major players away.

      FTs aren't the problem. A game shouldn't come down the FTs. We know GA can't shoot them. So it's simple; others need to actually play their roles. His role is to facilitate, pass, assist, playmake, ball handle, dribble, get to the rim, draw the foul, get paint points, defend the weak side, get stops, run, jump, draw the double teams, be everywhere, play every position. What he is NOT responsible for is: shooting the ball from deep & making FTs.
      Look a little deeper. The problem is that proper adjustments and subs were not made. Proper timeouts were not called to affect momentum and gather and design plays.
      But should've called a time out in regulation and end of OT when we were down 2 with 9 seconds. We easily could've fed Brook for a nice slam and tied it & MAYBE the foul. But bud didn't call it this isn't about FTs
      --sincerely a ranting, wounded bucks fan ready for change.

    • @jefcergos
      @jefcergos Рік тому +1

      @@elizaschaeffer34 You have very good basketball knowledge Eliza. But it is true that Giannis still has to improve his FT % and be more consistent with it, he would be the 1st to tell you that. However as you stated, losses like these always come down to coaching. I can't see how Bud is not fired in the coming days. Winsconsin people are very lucky Giannis is who he is because most other superstars of today would be demanding a trade asap. Very curious to see how things unfold from here.

    • @elizaschaeffer34
      @elizaschaeffer34 Рік тому +2

      @@jefcergos wilt chamberlain never improved his. Shaq never improved his. Why is giannis held to a different standard? The beauty of basketball is the uniqueness each player brings to the court. It's art. Giannis isn't an FT shooter. He never will be. Just like wilt and Shaq never were. He should focus on conditioning and enhancing his skill set of finishing at the rim.

    • @adamdavis5383
      @adamdavis5383 Рік тому

      @@elizaschaeffer34 Sincerely, Giannis has improved over the years on his free throws, but he also had over 20 boards, so we can’t blame all his 10 missed free throws. I'm shocked they fired the coach of a title team when they were not healthy and he missed three games. I feel if he played all the games, they would have won, and the coach only got fired because they were a lottery team and lost too, but that proves how valuable the Greek freak is. The NBA, on the other hand, has been very weak. The one who improved a lot is Magic Johnson, who went from shooting like 70% to something like 90%, and he had an ugly jump shot. He was amazing, though Giannis shot 77% in the 2016-2017 season, which is surprising good, then only 65% this year and 72% the year before that. In my opinion, the Lakers are winning this year. They got past a team that shot so many threes that the only reason the Warriors didn't attack was Davis presence inside, so they tried shooting them out of it. It wasn't the refs; it was mostly because the Warriors couldn't drive inside of his defensive presence, and if the Warriors were making shots, they would have beat the Lakers, especially based on how many they shot. Curry had no help. Game 4, where he had that one shot run out and Davis was on him to the three, was spectacular defense by Davis to stay with Curry, and if he made that shot over 7 feet, that'll be amazing. The reason the Warriors didn't win is because Ayton played lazy, played soft, etc. If we won that round somehow, I don't think we beat the Lakers. Davis would have eaten Ayton inside. I don't know what happened to Ayton, but man, he looked like a completely different dude. He didn't try; he was lazy on defense and offense, and overall, he deserves all the hate going to him. I don't care if he doesn't like Monty or if their relationship stinks. You get paid $30 million a year to play a sport, then you get benched and outplayed by a third-string center. That’s embarrassing, man. If he had played stronger and tougher and if Paul wasn't hurt. I know Paul has a slower pace than Payne, but he makes Ayton look good. We have to revamp that whole roster. Booker had the greatest playoff performances ever, but honestly, we should have played Warren and Ross in games one and two. Even when Lee didn't make a shot in game 2, he didn't play him after that, but he did Shamet. Starting Shamet in the second half of game 5 was a huge freaking mistake, and starting him in game 6 was. I don't understand why we can rely on Craig or Okogie. I hope we bring Okogie back to the defense. If he doesn't make his shots, he's a liability; it's like Tony Allen out there. Next year, we're going to have a deeper bench and make most of our guys walk. We will probably keep Ayton even though he played badly, and he will have a better coach. I just don't think he and Monty got along well enough to make him play the way he did. He should have gotten fired during the Mavericks loss. The series isn't all on Monty with KD playing badly and not trusting anyone but Booker, but the coach didn't call a timeout down 17 points in game 6, wouldn't make adjustments, and had Shamet play so much that game. Jock couldn't really guard the Joker, but he still had 13 and 5. If Ayton played, we would probably lose by 15-20. I find it funny that some say, "Oh, it's not the coach's bad decision." Um, no, it's not a bad one; he got blown out twice on his home floor and doesn't yell at his team to fire them up when they're down. You're supposed to make your team get fired up and have fun. Kobe played with an Achilles injury, shot two free throws, and walked off the court. Ayton barely got hit and is out; he did it on purpose. He was laughing, walking just fine, having a good practice, then sitting. Most people would freaking trade you if Kobe played with Ayton like that; he would call him every cuss word in the book, saying you're the softest big man ever. Get off my team. Ayton does play soft; he barely jumps for rebounds when he can, and he is lazy on defense at times. It'll be nice to do Ayton for Towns, or I don't even care about Gobert because Gobert can play defense really well, and Ayton is not a great passer, and so is he. Ayton is a better shooter, though, and I'd rather have someone who can play defense. They are thinking of trading Ayton for Kieber and Hardaway Jr., which will improve the bench and our offense. I want to do Ayton for Irving in a sign or trade, or do that trade and get them both; it'll save tons of money and get Irving in free agency with an improved bench in Kieber and Hardaway, and the team will be Irving, Booker, Hardaway Jr., Kevin Durant, and Kieber, or start Okogie, but Kieber plays amazing defense. Sorry it a lot.

    What annoys me about all these media types and fanboys is that when they say someone like Giannis, with all he has achieved, is a failure, it shits on all the other amazing players who maybe never won a championship or in any sport. Are they all failures? Look at your damn self in the mirror.
