Jimmy Wayne's book Walk to Beautiful has helped me through many difficult times throughout the years. Any time I've struggled with feeling abandoned, alone, or abused, i would go back & read his story . It encouraged me to look to the Lord instead of my circumstances. I know that since God touched this man's life in such a way to choose to follow Him over fame & bring others to Christ..then surely the Lord has a purpose for us all..if we walk with Him. ❤

This past weekend - 6/20/2018 - I saw Jimmy in Orlando at a business conference. I am sold on this young man. My wife and I have been foster parents for 24 years and this relights the fire in me!

Oh my goodness Jimmy. I never knew this about you. I lived on Second Street in Kings Mountain, and your Dad is a very close friend of our family. I am so sorry that I never knew this. Regardless of what has happened to you, I understand it. I am thankful that God led you to Mr. & Mrs. Costner. Obviously they were true Christians. Hey Sonja, I lived on 2nd street also. I lived in the first house on the right as you turn on to 2nd street. I lived with my parents and sisters. I knew Jimmy's brother Kenny. My sister lnew his dad. She lived across the street from him. I didnt know this about Jimmy either. I'm so glad he got a break in life. He deserves the best.
I am always looking for books to read and always buy from Amazon and for three weeks your book, Walk to Beautiful, kept coming up on my home page and finally something told me I had to read it and finished it today and must admit that at 70 years old I have read tens of thousands of book but this one touched me in a way that is hard to explain and I will admit it brought me to tears in places but still one of the best reads of my life. I really wish at some point I could hug you and say thanks for sharing your story with us but at 70 my years are running out so doubt if I will ever get the chance but from the bottom of my heart I do thank you. There are many parallels in my life similar to Jimmy Wayne's. Absentee parents, drugs/alcohol, abandonment, death, strange people at the house, homelessness, all by the age of about 10 and on up into my early 20's. I was led to get a children's Bible and read it while living in my car for a few years. God has done a great thing in our lives and we are living testimonies to his goodness and power.

Reading the book, "Walk to Beautiful" that someone gave me, and I cringe and cry while reading it. I knew that some people/children go through hard times like I did as a child, but nothing like how Jimmy and his sister had gone through. It is wonderful to see God's hand over Jimmy and Patricia through out their lives, even when they didn't know it. Because of such trials in life, they will know how to help many that are hurting in this world. Thank you Jimmy for bringing awareness to people such as myself of such hardships that some people/children in the foster system go through. I didn't know who you were until this book. Wow, what a compelling story of tragedy, disappointment, and abandonment that Jesus transformed into a life full of hope and love! I can't wait to read Walk to Beautiful!
Amazing. Just amazing. I can't relate to everything he has gone through. But poverty, absentee parents (being there in person but not truly there while the other didn't contact us after divorce), being an emotional/psychological punching bag for a parent with severe anger issues, constantly moving from place to place, and being lost in life are things I am familiar with. During one obstacle after another, my loving grandparents, aunts, and uncles showed me what it is to be a christian whenever they could during my visitations. Although my one parent never admitted in person their own faults, seeing the relationship between her and my grandfather heal was lovely to witness. God's love will do wonderful things if you let him. Our journey isn't over yet, but I know God will work with us.

Thank you Jimmy the kids need your testimony, there is only hope through Jesus Christ our Lord. I am concerned for all kids growing up in this world today but mainly concerned about the kids that have no one. My wife and I are foster parents in NC and so far we have gotten smaller children but there are so many more older kids in the system. A friend who is a foster parent recently was confronted with the situation with a girl in her care aging out of foster care. Originally the girl was to move to Wisconsin with her sister, but I just found out that her sister backed out of it and this girl is not in the foster parents care as of July 10 of this year. A few days ago I was looking through books on my bookshelf and found your book Walk to Beautiful, I don't know where the book came from and tell you the truth I never heard of you but now I have. fight the good fight and To See What God Can Do Through Me....Johnny

I feel a kindred spirit already with Bea and am excited for the day I am able to hug her in heaven as well! I am so impressed with how you have come thru such a tragic life as I sit here feeling sorry for my life...there has been so much deeper tragedy. Jimmy, I thoroughly enjoyed this video about your life. I’m a very intuitive person and I see so much of your pain when I listen to you talk and sing. Personally, I believe that all the things you had to go through in your life happened for a reason. I believe that God knew that you were strong enough to handle it. Now look at your life! You’re helping other people around you. Do you want to help all those children who live in foster care. I can’t begin to imagine what it must feel like to not have a mother and father. The first 7 1/2 years of my life we’re not easy. When I was 7 1/2 years old my mother remarried a man who had two children who were younger than me. That man was my daddy! He chose to be my daddy! I lost him in August 2018. My biological father is still alive and he rarely speaks to me. I am in the beginning stages of wanting to write a book about my life and all I’ve gone through. After listening to your story this evening, I know I have to do it! Your gift of music is amazing! Every song that I have listened to you sing touches me. I feel very connected to your story and your life. God Bless You!

I'm almost done reading your book and hope it blesses many and bring them to a saving knowledge of God. Our pastor tells us not to waste our suffering and you certainly are not.

I think he also did a stint in the Peace Core, and it's said he walked cross country raising money for Foster Kids. And you have not lived until you watch Jimmy Wayne sing Sara Smile : from Daryl's House. Daryl Hall wrote Sara Smile..they colab on this song, and it's beyond awesome.
Jimmy, you probably will never see my testimony here. But I felt God wanted me to share. My mom was addicted to alcohol and medication. My biological dad left her when I was very young. He never came to see me or have anything to do with me. Only once a year did I see him and that was because my aunt would come and get me to the family dinner. Long story short. I had to endure the addiction of my mom. Sometimes I thought I was taking care of her more than she was taking care of me. I so long for my dad. Never understood why he left and never care for me. I could never get it out of my mind. Why wasn't I good enough. He wanted my brother and step daughter. But my aunt suggested I go see him. I felt in my heart not to go. I was so afraid of rejection. She told me he would listen and be there. She was so wrong. The man actually cursed me when I asked questions about why he didn't want me. I remember thinking as I walked out the door with this man still being mean to me. I remember thinking I wasted most of my life loving and wanted a man who didn't love me at all. And then........I got in the SUV. Turned on the radio. Tears rolling down my face. It was you.....your song. I listened and God spoke to me. I remember as clear as it was yesterday. God let me know He loved me and He had always loved me. Better than any Earthly dad. So thank you for listening to God too and doing that wonderful song. God used it to change my life. What a witness, and great testimony that God loves us, and has a purpose for all of us. No matter where we've come from, our circumstances, be it good or bad, God wants to use it for his glory. Trust in him, don't give up, give your life to Jesus, except him as your saviour, repent from your sins, and acknowledge that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, and through what he did at Calvary , you'll gain eternal life, John chapter 3, verse 16, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Verse 17, For God sent not his Son into the world; to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.

I would love to help volunteer in your, or any for that matter, orphanage! Our children are the most precious resource that we have and so many are sadly abusedand neglected... Breaks my heart

riveting wow what an amazing story!!! I just found this, by chance of reading an excerpt from your book ‘Walk to Beautiful’. I am sure I will be crying thru most of it. I feel a kindred spirit already with Bea and am excited for the day I am able to hug her in heaven as well! I am so impressed with how you have come thru such a tragic life as I sit here feeling sorry for my life...there has been so much deeper tragedy. God Bless you Jimmy I hope someday I can meet you, even if in heaven. What a blessing you have been to me today in my troubled time today I just wanted you to know sharing your story has helped me know that nothing is too hard, nothing that Jesus won’t hold us thru. Loved your story Wayne I can relate I also was poor and taken from my family and abused by stranger. But I found Jesus who heals from the inside out. Follow Jesus and share your story with everyone. We all need a savior. God bless
Jimmy, I thoroughly enjoyed this video about your life. I’m a very intuitive person and I see so much of your pain when I listen to you talk and sing. Personally, I believe that all the things you had to go through in your life happened for a reason. I believe that God knew that you were strong enough to handle it. Now look at your life! You’re helping other people around you. Do you want to help all those children who live in foster care. I can’t begin to imagine what it must feel like to not have a mother and father. The first 7 1/2 years of my life we’re not easy. When I was 7 1/2 years old my mother remarried a man who had two children who were younger than me. That man was my daddy! He chose to be my daddy! I lost him in August 2018. My biological father is still alive and he rarely speaks to me. I am in the beginning stages of wanting to write a book about my life and all I’ve gone through. After listening to your story this evening, I know I have to do it! Your gift of music is amazing! Every song that I have listened to you sing touches me. I feel very connected to your story and your life. God Bless You!

Jimmy Wayne, I hope you do get that orphanage built!! As in the story of Joseph in the Bible, "what man intended for evil, God intended for good." I'm almost done reading your book and hope it blesses many and bring them to a saving knowledge of God. Our pastor tells us not to waste our suffering and you certainly are not.
God is an awesome God he gave you such a beautiful voice and to your sister he gave a wonderful heart! Jimmy, you probably will never see my testimony here. But I felt God wanted me to share. My mom was addicted to alcohol and medication. My biological dad left her when I was very young. He never came to see me or have anything to do with me. Only once a year did I see him and that was because my aunt would come and get me to the family dinner. Long story short. I had to endure the addiction of my mom. Sometimes I thought I was taking care of her more than she was taking care of me. I so long for my dad. Never understood why he left and never care for me. I could never get it out of my mind. Why wasn't I good enough. He wanted my brother and step daughter. But my aunt suggested I go see him. I felt in my heart not to go. I was so afraid of rejection. She told me he would listen and be there. She was so wrong. The man actually cursed me when I asked questions about why he didn't want me. I remember thinking as I walked out the door with this man still being mean to me. I remember thinking I wasted most of my life loving and wanted a man who didn't love me at all.
And then........I got in the SUV. Turned on the radio. Tears rolling down my face. It was you.....your song. I listened and God spoke to me. I remember as clear as it was yesterday. God let me know He loved me and He had always loved me. Better than any Earthly dad. So thank you for listening to God too and doing that wonderful song. God used it to change my life.

What a witness, and great testimony that God loves us, and has a purpose for all of us. No matter where we've come from, our circumstances, be it good or bad, God wants to use it for his glory. Trust in him, don't give up, give your life to Jesus, except him as your saviour, repent from your sins, and acknowledge that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, and through what he did at Calvary , you'll gain eternal life, John chapter 3, verse 16, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Verse 17, For God sent not his Son into the world; to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.

First time I caught JW was on LFDH and you sang Sarah Smile. I passed that on to my own Daughter (who is Sara) and I said just watch your reaction in the last last 2 seconds of the song. That was pure joy on your face. I knew you are something special. I am thinking that your next book may make great Christmas presents. This is an Awesome Video and an extremely powerful story!
