THE LEGEND OF BAMAKO - English fairy tale for kids

This tale tells the story of a beautiful young woman who lived in a place where it was always very dark at night because there was no moon and where fierce warriors attacked them.
A god appeared before young Bamako and told her that if she threw herself into the arms of his son, her village would be able to see at night and defeat the warriors. The young girl accepts and since that time, there is always a star in the sky that shines and illuminates us.
