Never seize on spark plugs, never heard of that one. Appreciate the advise. I have a different walk behind edger but love it for first time edging and then usually use stick edger for weekly up keep.
I don't scrape up stones, I get large amounts of gravel, rocks and sod. I don't charge for repairing plow damage either. Usually spend a couple of days fixing the bad spots like you do. Once you find out the size you need, check out Expressmowerparts.com I get all of my mower blades from them. Thanks for the shout out.
If you have a local dealer, they usually have bulk blades at a discount. My McLane units are species for 8”x2” with 1/2” hole. My dealer had me move up to 9”x2”. You should measure from the center of the mounting bolt to the blade guard (then multiply by 2) and see how long of a blade you can fit without it hitting the blade guard. The bigger blade will last longer and will cut better. Oregon blades and belts are the best. Amazon usually has good deals on both. The cheap blades will bend easily and wear quickly. Like I said before, if the blade gets bent and the cutting arm starts to wobble- change the blade immediately. That wobble will trash the front spindle/bearing and loosen all the screws. *Also: there is likely a lubrication zerk in that front spindle- I give it a pump about once a month. It’s an open lube area, if you over do it- it’ll just spill out- but if it gets dry, it’ll get really hot and heat up the belt and....
I am 50/50 with edging with my stick edger or just use the trimmer. My stick edger was going through blades kind of quick so I tried the golden edge edger blade. Doubt I will ever go back to regular blades. The golden edge will last for years and rips through overgrown edges like butter. It puts a wider edge than the regular so if you don’t like the look it won’t be for you.
Yeah, It was a crazy plow season. Over on the eastern side of NY the weather was the same. It would be 50 degrees for days before a snow storm. Gravel in the grass is always fun. That Kombi paddle makes quick work of it though. People think this work is easy. NOT!!! especially if you do it right. I do most of the repairs and all of the maintenance. I hear some guys bring there equipment to the dealer for oil/filter change & sharpen blades. Keep up the great work. God Bless and be safe out there.

I still haven't used it yet but I'm going to soon. I think it'll be nice
we only use the walk behind style down here on Long Island. so much easier then the stick edger. good luck this season!
Daniel f Thank you, same to you
When you change the blade, which way loosens the screw?
I haven't had this in years I don't remember but most edgers the nut is reverse rotation. (Turn right to loosen)
Hey brother, the foam filter goes on top of the paper filter. Make yourself a vacuum pump for the oil change.
Lawn Commander lol I realized that after I did it.
I have a Tru-cut edger with a curb rider and I had to make a "sight" so I knew just where the blade was when I started out with it.
Wayne Essar yea that could be a problem

Brent Meister Thank you
Great video! Thank you for taking the time to educate us! Do you have any tips or tricks to doing trailer bearings?
Francisco Ramirez depends on the style. I've seen them as hub style and roller style

Scout's Outdoor Services SOS I always use my trimmer. This was free so I figured I'd have some fun with it
love your vids btw. i'm just here in ct and all that just usually gets done with a spring clean up along with de thatching ect.
Xscape We do the dethatching separate. Not many yards usually need it but this year they're gonna.
Nice! yeh the yards are a mess this year. I checked all mine and they are still swamps. And its snowing again today lol.
Xscape it was here to but it's stopped. No accumulation thank God.
It's called a PRE filter..... Pre means before... As in the PRE filter catches the air before the paper filter..... It goes in the cap 😂
Yeah no shit

Liberty Bell Landscaping Exactly my point, people can't wipe they're own rear ends lol. Gotta work hard to get the benefits of this work.
plow damage happens, its part of spring clean up. do you guys not do a clean up on every property?
Xscape Nope. Many yards don't need it. It's also up to the customer, allot of customers do a quick cleanup themselves.
Would you mind if I bought you a larger garage? Gee Wiz
Lol I wish
