The lead-up to Eurovision 2023 has begun! The countries that are representing in this year's contest have already started to select who they want to send to Liverpool.
Joker Out has officially released the song they'll be performing at Eurovision this May in Liverpool for Slovenia. The song is called Carpe Diem.

Live version of the song is even better than the studio cut, so I'd suggest checking out their Misija Liverpool performance. 🙂
You should watch the live version. They are EUROVISION READY!! And with this in the second half of the second semi-final, i'd be VERY surprised if this DIDN'T qualify! And the song is SO fitting for Liverpool, the home of British rock and roll and the Beatles, with its 70s theme!

I liked it when I saw the clip the first time but it was ok. Then I watched the live version and yess this is now one of my favorites so far.

My initial reaction was also, that this is just an okay song, but already after the second listen I got kinda hooked.
At the moment my No. 2 behind Norway, but with chances to rise higher. And while it's still very early in the season, I see some top 10 qualities in here

I think the music video is pretty bad… why are they just walking down a hotel corridor and opening a door during the the guitar solo? And then that addition pause when the hotel manager walks it? It repeatedly kills the energy of the song. The live version really show how charming and charismatic the band are and how good the song is when it has the freedom to build its own momentum.
The hotel manager bit is done by a lot of music video's. It stops (or reduces) people from ripping the song from UA-cam
I think the idea is on point with the theme of the song, which is to live life to the full and to not care what other people think about you.
I love the song, but how doesn't anyone realise he didn't even sing live in the live version? It's obvious that he lip synced.
