James Hype uses the hot cues on his CDJs more than any DJ I've seen. It's funny seeing him on four XDJs - which don't have any hot cue buttons - so he has be on the touchscreen with his left hand the whole time. :D It's sad that XDJs don't even have memory cue buttons. There's plenty room next to the Vinyl Speed Adjust to put them there where they belong.
i guess is for make them more afordable for some people, I don't think everybody have the extra 1000$to pay for the CDJs that James Hype uses, especially if your going to use four decks man, that means 4000$ more. or maybe to prioritize their flagship product such as the nexus 2
guitar center has it at $999. great price, this might be the mixer everyone gets. Sure the big clubs might need the outs of the nexus but this mixer has it all for any DJ. i will try it at the Expo in AC
DMJ-750MK2 or DMJ-900NEXUS? CDJ900 or other pair of CDJs? I think that people can do better music without the ''better mixers'' What you think? Amazing video! Still wondering what to buy DDJ1000 controller from my beginner DJ-202 Roland. DMJ-750 is little cheaper but I like the NEXUS 900. But every mixer is AWESOME! Pioneer!
XDJ-1000 over CDJ 900, Unless you really need CD inputs. DJM 750MK2 over DJM 900NXS Unless you really need digital outputs. DDJ 1000 is an awesome controller if you could careless for standalone and use your laptop.
@@JayWerx yeah but clearly not talking about the NXS2 in the comment it was mentioning the original NXS I own one and would trade it in for a 750mk2 for all the newer features any day. When asking about CDj 900's there's a budget involved. Some of us don't go opening giant lines of credits to have a used card sitting in our homes for no reason just to have "phat sound" from some $200-$300 monitors or some sub $1000 PA system.
@ Pioneer Could you please add the knob effects (Lock on/on knob) from the DJM-S9 -> to the DJM-900NXS2.1 and to the DJM-750MK2.1 ? *PLEASE !!!!!!!* If you put that awesome knob I will be a pioneer. The first in my life :)
Hi Pioneer, Alphatheta. I would appreciate a firmware modification in the DJM750mk2 and 900nx2 to allow the utility menu to switch the digital send/return loop from the ipad/ios USB connector to the PC/MAC USB connector. I would like to route effects through traktor pro, on the sound card and in the mix utility program I can see these channels and can map them, but the mix will not send any signal to the SEND usb digital output. Please AlfaTheta to modify the firmware to make the external effects usable on my mac/pc without the need for another tablet/iphone. Apple interface in effects apps is now outdated and doesn't make sense.
Sick technique, better tracks then your live vids but I know that's what the kids want these days, tracks they recognize. Used to go see the DJ cuz he had tracks you'd never heard of.
They couldn't answer this one I guess... Well I'd say that the DJM-750Mk2 is better, as of now it seems that it has replaced the 850. It's no longer on the list of available products. The 750 has everything the 850 has + Parameter knob and frequency buttons for the effects, the new USB send/return, External/Internal effects can be used simultaneously, dual head phone outputs, Clip Led on master and gold plated rca's. Gone are the connections for control, digital out and midi. That said, the 850 is still a very competent mixer, and in most cases I think it's hard to motivate a switch to the 750Mk2. It is a cheaper model to buy new, and I suspect that the used price of the 850 will take a dive because of it. Just like DJM-800, it will have a lot higher user value than economic value.
I use the djm-450, but with some issues i experienced really extreme bad support from pioneer. Their behaviour i experienced is not to answer the question of the case but to ask the client to do videos etc...and ask for usage with wetransfer... etc.. They just want to collect user data which nothing can contribute to the given issue. I'm deeply disappointed.
Finally a good AND useful performance demonstration for a new product 😃

Anyone know why he has a reverb pedal? Does the mixer not have reverb effect? Or is this to use more than one effect at a time?

DJ Patryk The 900 nxs2 offers a whole lot more than digital I/O. The phat sound the 900 delivers is worth the extra money.
