I just watched this video again because it's super helpful when you guys have the camera at this angle and describe as you go what you're doing. Watching the close ups from your perspective as you're working on pieces is great because I see the technique in greater detail. ❤️
It amazes me Jami when I see you with your grow up children, you are in the same age group as my son and his wife actually I think that you are younger then my daughter-in - law. There 3 children are 6, 4. and 2. I spend a lot of time helping them ❤
We were babies when we got married fresh out of High School. We didn’t wait to start a family and we had kids every few years. With the largest gap being 4 years. So it feels like we have been parents forever. 21 years we have been raising a family and it’s been the best. That’s so fun that you help your kids. Although my mom is in her 80’s she lives with us and my kids adore her and love to spend time with her everyday. She’s a huge help to us.
I’m so excited!! After so many failed attempts at stenciling I tried the JRV stencil, JRV stencil brush, and DIY paint and I was completely successful! The thicker stencil, thicker packed stencil brush, along with DIY paint made the process so much easier. ❤️❤️❤️
Kinda Shocked that your bins don’t have more decor considering all the tonnage in the GW retail stores. There’s a youtuber Tiffany Gemmer from Washington St. who is a realtor and she finds tons of decor items to sell and stage homes with. Maybe a work trip (vacation) road trip to her location is needed.😊
Man, you did good cause those quilts, you know, I know you know, those quotes won between 3 to $507100. Go to the quilt shop, I'll show in harrisonburg, washington and washington and the midnight's makeup mini and the amish makeup, and they're expensive peace quilts like that and you've got a good, they're beautiful
My youngest daughter used to live in Denver and she would find some amazing deals at the Goodwill bins. It’s not really my jam digging through all the yucky stuff, though. Nice quilts! Wow, that nps store was cool! I wish we had something like that up here.
It's so interesting to see the different stores you have. The quilts and messenger bag are lovely finds. I do like the stamped rolling pins too, such a great decor idea.
From my travels, not sure if Goodwill bins have changed or not, but the one south of FW, Texas use to have (last visit was 2y ago) one whole area with maybe dedicated to 40 or so bins of non clothing items. I got SO MANY great items there like NICE puzzles, Duplo blocks, wooden train track pieces, Christmas garlands etc...all could be cleaned or washed easily. You could hear them crushing the bins' contents once they were taken off the floor after a certain period of time. Sad, but true. The only thing they didn't put out was knives/items like that. The one in Savannah, GA had mainly clothes and was smaller...a number I've looked into have closed..bummer.
Didn''t know we had goodwill bins here in SLC. Did you have dental work done or something Jami? Your mouth seems different, or voice maybe. Can't tell! Your daughter is a beauty!!
@@JamiRayVintage Also, not a criticism. So I hope you didn’t take it that way. Just seemed different. Good for you for being disciplined to wear them! You’re just as cute as always!
Do people who purchase something that isn’t yet painted, do they get to ask for a specific color or anything or do you guys just work your magic and they are cool with whatever you do?
I have such a hard time pricing things! Do you have a formula? " I feel/ think" I should get at " minimum" wx what k paid for an item. Mostly in talking small items. But the area I live in is mostly retirees...they practically want things all for a dollar! I have nice things! I have Vintage things! I ha be " one of a kind, rare things" they don't get it or they don't appreciate it! ?? I'm getting very disillusioned! I ha ave a booth at a Flea market ( I feel I'm in the wrong " Venue" ) but unless I can find my own " store"... I'm stuck! Any suggestions?!?
We use Google to reverse search the items for value and to find out info. I can’t offer a ton of help. We sell a lot online to a broad audience and have our own shop. But I would say work on your displays and maybe include info for more expensive pieces. Help sell them the look. Good luck in reselling ❤️❤️❤️
I love the goodwill bins. I have been able to supplement my income by almost $2000 a month and I don’t even have to leave home I love I love I love it I don’t like some of the people sometimes because I’m in Central Texas and we have a lot of immigrants that crossover I’m very close to the border and they can be very rude and hostile so you have to be able to stand your ground which I’ve never had a problem with doing that, unfortunately at times I can be very very competitive. I think you should give it a chance. Where are your gloves sometimes I would even wear a mask I would bring them and have them in my car just in case there are a lot of people because of where I’m located so close to the border, sneezing and coughing. I would wear a mask. I’m sure you won’t have that . There’s nothing like getting an antique parlor table for $4.99. I wish you great and safe hunting. Oh one other thing I always bring batteries a little screwdriver and other things with me so I can test the toys out or whatever else I’m looking at it really helps out and you don’t have to go home and be disappointed. Thanks for listening.
*The quilts were the "stars"🌟⭐️🌟 of the shopping 🛍 trip this time❣️😉💕*

Thank you!
Wait! You didn’t do a slo-mo the Totes were mine. Lol
They look pretty great tho!
There is a picture. But Zeb edited and he forgot my slow pan. But they are cute!
That's not a jewelers kit...lol...it's for setting eyelets in scrapbooking....
but I'm gonna use it for jewlery lol
Great job👍🤣

I am wearing my invisiline braces. I don’t always film with them. But I’m trying to be good so I can get done with them soon.
@@JamiRayVintage Also, not a criticism. So I hope you didn’t take it that way. Just seemed different. Good for you for being disciplined to wear them! You’re just as cute as always!
Could you have saved the snowman ends and sold them?
Do you still have the quilts?
Yes. They will be in Saturdays haul. I just got done washing them
What are the things Zeb rolled the pins onto called?
Stamps. We use IOD stamps. Here is the link - jamirayvintage.com/collections/iod-stamps-iron-orchid-designs
When you buy something do you have an idea what you are going to do with it or do you buy and then decide.
Almost always have an idea of what it will be before hand
Did you get the Jewelers kit that was in a tin box?
Yes. I think Zeb was keeping it for my girls but I am not sure they have used it.
❤ it!
Do people who purchase something that isn’t yet painted, do they get to ask for a specific color or anything or do you guys just work your magic and they are cool with whatever you do?
They are cool with whatever we do. Some people choose to just wait until it’s finished.
The second one. We just let them know it will be getting some sort of makeover and then we paint it up how we’re feeling that day. 😊❤️
Do you worry about germs or stuff like that when you dig in the bins?
No because then I would never thrift.
What is, the paint brand and can you find it online? I paused the video, but couldn't see the name properly.
We use cottage color. It’s our paint line. Here is the link - jamirayvintage.com/collections/cottage-color-by-diy-jrv
@@JamiRayVintage Thank you! They are such pretty colors!!

Unless you put your hand on something wet, right Zeb
That’s why you wear gloves!
❤
Shame about the books they should be donated to local charity for kids!
❤❤❤
Hey Ian!
So between you and hubby you have 4 kids? 2&2?
We have 5 children together. They are all ours as a couple. We have been married 23 years and my oldest is 22 and youngest is 10.
We have 5 children and they’re all ours together 😊. Our oldest is 22 and our youngest is 10. A boy, 2 girls and 2 boys at the tail end.
THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE 3X THE AMOUNT I PAID FOR AN ITEM
🌞🌞🌞
Oh, Next time wear gloves, I once reached down into a bin & sliced my hand wide open.
😊👍👋. 🎄🎄
