Your criticism is unfairly applied to this particular creator. The point of the video - provided one does more than just react to the headline - is that any economic factor can make you richer or poorer, but it is your behavior in the circumstances that matters. While inflation is a constant, and it certainly can devalue people's savings and encourage them deeper into debt, it is also an opportunity to make increase wealth by investing.

The problem lies in the government and the corporations running amok. Taxes are too high, uncontrolled spending, stagnated wages, and poor working conditions.

American must pay, one way or or another. Either pay much higher taxes, to cover massive Federal Govmnt spending habits...
or pay less tax but be obligated to pay for accrued DEBT. The average American indirectly pays for the Debt by participating
in an economy where the Dollar Supply must be continuously increased. Dollars must be made LESS valuable.
Are we ready to cut back SS and other out of control programs?

Unless you’ve improved your credit substantially since you got that loan, any refinance rate is going to be about the same minus a percentage point or so. And if you’ve drastically improved your credit, you should be able to refi with a lower rate regardless of this decrease.
