@AgentofTheNight of course i know about him! i don't know why these guys don't get more credit/publicity for their amazing work. they're so talented. it's such a shame than howard ashman is no longer alive. that's devastating but alan men ken is still amazing on his own.
I was afraid of how "Pink Fish" would sound, but it's HILARIOUS! When I first saw the lyrics, I was thinking, "WHAT was Alan smoking when he wrote this? It sounds more like "Weird Al" Yankovick than Alan Menken".
Jordan Briskin Not at all. It's available as a bonus track on the 2003 revival recording of Little Shop (along with a few other great demos, including the infamous cut ballad "We'll Have Tomorrow".)
Angelofmusic997, that is a pretty tall order. I recall seeing a used copy of it on vinyl at a Fangoria convention, of all places, in 1994, but it does exist.
I can credit this guy for half - if not 3/4 - of my childhood. Thank you for the memories, Mr .Alan Menken.
most people can
here here
I could listen to him all day
ik
Pink Fish is just so incredibly perfect.
He's perhaps the best of it's time and truly one of the most beloved composers of all time, if not the most loved indeed.
lol
Favourite composer, not only does he bring life to music and has so much fun, but he sings magically! :D
ALAN I love your bright and enthusiastic soul.
long live Alan Menken!
Amazing composer I love him!!! One of my favourites, absolutely!!! Alan I adore you!! ♥

If you think that song sounds like Weird Al, then check out the song "A Little Dental Music" (which was cut from Little Shop of Horrors).
xxkewldudexx I most certainly will! Thanks for the recommendation.

xxkewldudexx Well, until I find that record, I'll need to search for it here on UA-cam.
It should be on iTunes
gosh, I can't believe I didn't know he was behind Sister Act too until now.

Where can I find the ORIGINAL score/soundtrack for LSoH (the Corman style one before they changed it)? Anybody know?
I wish he’d record him singing his own songs. They take on a life of their own when the songwriter themselves does it
While he's playing the piano I'm hearing Aladdin tunes in my head LOL
@FamGuyFreak100 I think it's just the lyrics:D because he always collaborates with an lyricist
Found it! :-)
Anyone know where I can find how he played Fabulous, Baby in the beginning?
Mattbrain
That's a good observation, but it doesn't tell me where he got it from lol.
Mattbrain
Well, it's not unknown for composers to put music that they wrote on the Internet for the public to see and use. It's actually very common.
me too
Where can I find Part 2?
@johnybroadway10 well there's an equally incredible one, Howard Ashman
to Donna Summer RIP
is there a more brilliant Man?
the director of Rocky should've got a special thanks on lion king
Orginal style
I dont know why but I find the guy interviewing quite annoying
Why is that guy laughing all the time? He should bow! All the time!
awesome
