Is the political spectrum really so broken in the USA that you don't know that monarchy is authoritarian right? The term "right wing" was originally based on how the supporters of the French king sat on the right wing of the Versailles during the Estates General.
I don't see what the political spectrum has to do with this? He also did get it right, you just need to think for a few seconds if you're unsure. It's not like everybody walks around knowing where monarchy lies on the compass. But he figured it out after some thought.

When you're near the middle, being slightly anything doesn't really matter. I'm technically lib-left but I'm only one and a half square away from the middle. That's being a centrist no matter how you look at it.

I'd personally say that monarchy is centrist authoritarian. It used to be pretty right-wing, but I think it's more apolitical nowadays, which is why I put it in the centre, but it's definitely an authoritarian political spectrum.
