My neighbor just bought her first keyboard, I sent her your YT channel, I use it a lot myself as I'm more singer and guitarist than pianist but I like to learn as much as I can about playing and music.
super lisa. my teacher (and i) called these 'instrumental forms of harmony.' i love the over-head hybrid shot of piano, chordie, and the notation. the notation follows your playing... that's amazing. what's the program that you're using to do that? is it all real time? thanks again. i continually refer my students to this very useful channel.
@@PianoteOfficial Like it? I love it! You folks make it so fun learning how to play the piano! Every time I watch and practice, you put a smile on my face. 😋 You folks have a wonderful life. Take Care and have a blessed week. 🙏🙏🙏
1st Pattern Note: the lowest note of the right hand inversion is walking up with each chord. Look again =>> Cm/G-Fm/Ab-Eb/Bb-Bb. I bet if it was played in root position it wouldn't flow as well. The original way seems to be building and growing from the Cm/G to the Bb chord instead of jumping around.
Pianote team! Could you do a video on Ostinatos? Ive been mezmorized by Philip Glass and he makes heavy use of the ostinato... can you do a video on them?
I’m 67 years old and just started teaching myself piano several months ago. I was not familiar with Philip Glass and his technique until your comment. I had to check it out on UA-cam and I also am drawn to his technique!
That's great to hear!! One of my favorite pieces is Mad Rush and "I'm going to make a Cake" from the movie "the Hours". It's just so beautiful and I love the repetition @@carolallen157
Thanks so much for your awesome lesson! What program are you using to highlight the notes on the sheet music on the bottom of the video? Does it follow you perfectly as you press the keys? It's really helpful!
Do you have a video that explains how to add a piano riff to maybe a chorus that you make up in your head, i know different people will come up with different ones, but i can’t seem to come up with any. Can you make or do you have a video that gives to tricks or hints to your approach.
I would like to expound on this a little further because i think it will make for a more in depth video, often i write worship choruses or sing them while im drumming one chord, but struggling also putting the pattern together and the added fills and tricks to shape it. Hopefully i haven’t muddied the water to much.
Can I simplify to right hand C7 chord (to F major or F minor chord) instead of C E G Bb to 3 notes as E Bb E with C to left hand? I saw that to other piano players. Is that correct? I think it sounds more dynamic in Rock'n Roll,Blues,Jazz. What do you think?
You are the best teacher in the world! Your childlike enthusiasm and sincere innocent smiles are such a warm and sweet wonderful welcome in this dark and sick in the head despicable perverted world!
These are beautiful, thank you!! You make everything seem so easy, and then I get to the piano and my brain makes it all complicated again 🙃
You can do it!
Same here!

Amazing break down and lesson. Thank you!
One of the easiest ways to make any sounds progression pretty is to take any basic triad and give it some additional tonality .

hi can you play tutorial spanish coffee by frank mills please
Thank you for this!! Quick question: Do you use a specific chord progression, e.g. 6-4-1-5 within the specific key?
You can apply this chord pattern to any chord progression! Is there a particular chord pattern you're wondering about from this video?
I'm watching your videos and it looks so easy then I try it and is like WTF? ;-D
