There are 3 things you need to check 1. Battery 2. Rectifier 3.Stator. You may have a bad battery cell. In this case it was the Stator and we had to replace it.
@weron021 thank you, where did you buy the stator, what did it cost, brand? Yamaha wants close to $300 for theirs, I've found them on amazon and ebay for around $50 -$100...
Gracias saludos desde mexico
Do you have any idea of why my 2001 midnight star dies over night and wont keep charge even with a new battery?

So, how long did it take you to do this?
This was a 3h job with two people, The biggest thing it was feeding the stador cable behind the engine.

What setting was used to check the voltage on your multimeter?
AC Volts 20 and that would tell me if the bike is charging or not. Also I am in process of making a video of how to check the voltage.
Muy bien...😎
Thank you.
Stator bolts needs to be replaced with new ones when doing stator job 😉
How did you determine the stator was bad?
I had a local mechanic check and to confirm it was the stator, The Original Battery was changed, then the rectifier was checked and it was good.
My is bad broken fuse desconet the stator not broken fuse 😢
Is the stator cover bolts hard to tighten?
No it was easy make sure you tighten them in star sequence or it will leak
How many miles you have you got on your roadstar?
It has 137,000Km or 85,127 miles
@@weron021 thanks, My roadliner has less than twenty thousand miles, so I probably won't have deal with that for a while.👍
