    Thank you so much for your videos. They help a lot. I think bands like the white stripes are perfect especially for beginners, since you can easily match the feel of it without having to play perfect.
    I bet if more people just had this in their recommendations, that a whole lot of people would start guitar

    So easy to follow along! Thanks so much for the video. It’s hard to find people that take it slow, stay consistent, and explain each part of the song. You’re Killin it!

    I’ve been moving from here 🌵to here 🥶
    Looks 👀like your past 300 subscribers 👍.
    I’m surprised its not 3k.
    I tell everyone I know to check it out.
    This lesson is now in my top 5 of your Easy Chair lessons.
    You have way too many good lessons for me to pick a top 3 from The Chair.
    A good slide tune to play acoustic or heavy electric is great!!!
    I have always liked slide and my fingerpicking has really improved.
    My secret to improving is lots of practice. Every day.…relentless practice.
    I’ve got a good drummer and just started a band, thanks for helping me get there.

      I was never sure I'd reach 100, let alone 300+. Regardless, I really appreciate your comments and support. Me and my son Ike will light-heartedly say "I hope Kerry likes it" 😂
      I glad that my channel has helped you. Most rewarding. Rock on Kerry from AJ (does that name still apply since you're moving?)

      Kerry from AJ. Yup.
      Until I move to Baja one day…
      Why be cold if I don’t need to be? ( That just sounded like a good start to some lyrics)
      Moving back to AJ late January.
      We have some gigs booked already……

      Hey nice to hear from you!
      Lots of twists and turns. The band fell apart after a few gigs but not before I learned a lot about timing and social interaction.
      A few months in I was the last man standing.
      I started to teach a guy bass guitar there as a result and it’s fun jamming to Moby Dick, Led Zeppelin, a simple song I can pull some solos off over his bass lined.
      I just moved back to Vancouver for the summer.
      I have killer tickets to see Jack White in two weeks.
      I’ve been taking weekly Zoom lessons since last December from a guy in Texas who’s been teaching me Hill Country Blues fingerpicking.
      He also took my drummers live videos and made play through lessons for me on I Shot The Sheriff, Clapton version, this project changed everything for the better.
      I’m digging deep now to practice even more before I go back to Arizona in 4 months.
      Thanks for helping me out so much, your one of the best!
      Kerry From AJ is living the dream!
      What’s new in that Easy Chair?

    When you do the opening intro of 000, 333, 000, 555, etc, you’re tapping the slide on the fret on the 3’s and 5’s. When I do it, the strings are clanging against the slide and it sounds like hot garbage. What’s the secret there? 2:40

    • @MaxxWebster666
      @MaxxWebster666 26 днів тому

      Mute the strings lightly with your free fingers 👌🏻(fretting hand)

    • @jmdangelo
      @jmdangelo 19 днів тому

      @@MaxxWebster666 so after hitting the open strings, my fretting hand mutes the strings a split second before I put the slide on the strings?

    • @MaxxWebster666
      @MaxxWebster666 19 днів тому +1

      Simultaneously, the strings’ clanging will be dampened by your muting 👌🏻

      @@MaxxWebster666 Ok, makes sense. Probably just a bit trickier than normal slide stuff since it's going from open to "fretted" over and over, so it'll just take some practice to get that technique down. Thanks!

    Did you use the Les Paul vs the Strat to get the correct tone or could you have played this on the Strat too?

      Double dose of BB!
      I usually don't care too much which guitar I use. Turn this knob, click that pedal, flip this switch and you can get close enough for rock and roll with any guitar.
