- Asaduddin Owaisi exclusive interview: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi spoke on several poll issues. On the question, whether he sees Congress president Rahul Gandhi as next Prime Minister of India, Owaisi said that media should look beyond Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi for PM post. “There are so many leaders who can lead the nation, chiefs of regional parties and chief ministers are capable to become the PM,” Owaisi added. Former Union Minister of India, Ms. Maneka Gandhi threatens Muslim men, women and elders (even as children watch) to vote for her else risk not getting any work done once she is elected Member of Parliament.
Imagine if some one had threatened the Brahmins and said 'I will never allow you Brahmins to enter the MP office if you did not vote for me'. Or if some one had said this in Tamil Nadu, 'If you Hindi speakers did not vote for me, you will bear the consequences'.
This is the level to which India's democracy has been reduced since 2014, where you are a elected representative, a MP or a MLA for only those who vote for you. Imagine what message this is sending to the officials in administration and the law enforcement authorities. You discriminate and threaten a section of the society only because they exercise their right to choose their own elected representatives? To those who believe this will end with Muslims, please keep living in your proverbial fool's paradise until it is your turn.
