Im just so happy for you.I was born in Africa but now a Swiss citizen,I must say my neutralization was so straightforward and unexpected.Out of the blue (after I had been here for 2 years) I got a call to go for the interview immediately. I was not prepared because in my mind, I still had minimum of 3 years to apply. The whole took maybe 30 minutes and unlike what people had told me(this was before online days)there were no Geography, politics, history, and all that questions, the whole was just about my life and what I do in a day to day life, it did not help that I had no income as I was a full time housewife. 20 years down the line, im still a VERY PROUD Swiss and I would not do it any other way.Im grateful because I know getting Swiss citizenship is very hard, I know people who`ve been here for over 25 years, have asked several times and they get denied.
Wow! That's great that it only took 4 months for you to get the interview! Please do give us an update on how you did. Which state do you live in? In Seattle, the processing time for 80% of the applicants is 11 months. Thanks in advance for your reply and God bless!
@@Bellajane127 okay.I did it by myself.Follow the instructions.I gave all documents that i had.I submitted dec 19,2022 and Interview march 7,and oath taken march 30.I live here in Oregon. The officer is super nice and friendly. I NEVER outside the US since i came here. The interviewed was so smooth. My advice is study hard.Listen everyday the video about n400 and Civic test.Because the interview and questions is very fast.U don't study u can't answer. And always pray to God.
Thanks for sharing. I don't know how I got to this video, but... your experience helps me. I have my interview in 12 days and, I'm going through those stressful and overthinking days. Also with the same fear of the vocabulary of Yes/No questions. The videos on UA-cam help me study, but some of them seem to go overboard with the type of questions you might be ask. Thank you for all your advice, especially the last one.🙏🏼.. The best for all those who, like me, have the goal of becoming US citizens. Yes, we can! 🙌
I will have my interview tomorrow in the same location as yours! This is really helpful!! I was anxious with the vocabulary as well. When I hear your experience this gave me a peace of mind. Congratulations!!
Thank you for sharing your journey. I am quite emotional as well. Sometimes when I tell a story I get teary eye. I hope it will not happen during my interview. Me and my husband is scheduled this Friday same location. I hope I get the same officer that you had 😊🙏🏼 Praying for a positive experience like yours🙏🏼
Good morning. We’re kind of similar in some waysI have been here for twelve years as a green card holder and applied for citizenship 8 months ago. I received my appointment notice two weeks before my interview, though online it says 7 months before case decision, and I stressed myself out too much. I started reviewing the civics test after filing my papers last November 2021 what i was worried about is the word definitions. And you know what, the officer did not even ask a single word definition and just went over my application. I am so relieved, the heavy burden off my shoulder, and right now just waiting for my oath ceremony. Thank God!
I have mine in 3 days and I'm so nervous. I know the material but I feel like my nervous are gonna make me forget. Your video has helped me relax a little.
Good morning, im 64,and my brain tend to stray,I have a lot on my plate,im going to do my interview in 7days..im thinking if im going to make it? I can do all things through God who strengthens me..

Your be fine they don’t ask anymore meaning or any definition of anywords I got my Interviewed and citizenship last June 8 Praised to Lord our savior was way way too easy, my advice is concentrate the civic and writing and reading some of the interviews are all about your personal life,, you can do it,,
I want to congratulate you for you achievement , very helpful your whole story but, I want to tell you about a remark you said about Puerto Ricans . They are citizens as anybody who is raised and born in the USA. Americans come in all different sizes and hair color . Just saying Americans are not all white and blue eyed.
Hi sis! I submitted a copy of my greencard, marriage contract, child’s birth certificate. On the interview notice letter, it says there i need to bring my birth certificate, spouse’s birth certificate and spouse’s divorce decree if applicable. But no documents were asked during the interview.
@@roseandmose yes i did, but the officer didnt ask any of it. He just asked for my driver's license, green card and passport. Then he proceeded to interview after taking an oath to tell the truth.

My husband just passed his interview waiting on oath ceremony
Plus Puerto Rico is US territory, if they want to come to US they dont need to apply citizenship to become American.
Congratulations👏
Good job 👍. My problem is that i can’t speak English well like you 🤕.may be that why he didn’t ask you too much idem ,cause he see you speak well
