Cheap and Easy DIY Infinity Gauntlet

- So in this tutorial we'll make a cheap and easy DIY Infinity Gauntlet! (Doesn't that just put a smile on your face...) Had several requests for this from It's All About The Comics, Realnyankidgaming, Mavric, MarvelMD24, and Monster745hunter. It's pretty cheap and easy to make, especially if you already have some of the generic items on hand, such as paint and glue. And then you'll be ready for Infinity War...balancing the universe is optional...
MATERIALS USED:
A left-handed glove (check your local 2nd hand shops)
1 sheet of 3mm craft foam (amzn.to/2DH7K2y)
Round plastic rhinestones: pink, yellow, green, red, blue (amzn.to/2DIrwuq)
1 purple oval plastic rhinestone (Found in JoAnn Fabrics - can't remember brand name)
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Gold puffy paint (amzn.to/2rzLKVL)
White school glue (amzn.to/2DGICJe)
Foam brush (amzn.to/2nlY9rb) and cup to hold glue
Metallic gold paint (amzn.to/2BBaAUP)

I really liked this, it was nice and easy, the only grudge i have is that the infinity stone placement is a little off
Yeah, the only one I could find in the long shape was the purple one. So it made the most sense to put that one on the back of the hand and shift the order. But I figure as long all the stone are there, Thanos can still snap his fingers 😉

Before i try this can you snap in it? And how much did it cost?
Well, I guess that depends on how you define snap, lol. You can make the motions, but you can't really make a snapping sound (the glove is too soft). This one cost me about $5 to make, because I already had the paint and the craft foam on hand. All I bought was the glove (99 cents at the Salvation Army), and the plastic gems. So if you have to buy everything new, it'll probably cost a little more, but should still probably be somewhere between $10-15.

It's metallic gold puffy paint. You can find it in almost any craft store. Or they also sell it on Amazon (I've got a link to it in the video description).

Can you get a right handed glove?I can’t snap with my left hand
Yup, just get a right handed glove and do the exact same thing. It's pretty even on both sides, so switching should work fun.

Instead of foam can it also work with paper
Paper might be a little thin and tear too easy, but you could definitely do it with a layer or two of cardstock, exactly the same way as the foam.

Oh what kind of paint was used to paint it gold??
It was a metallic gold Rustoleum. Just the standard available in any Lowes or such hardware store.

Here’s a tip to making a LOWER budget infinity gaunlet.
Items:
-Left handed yellow glove
-1 white paper/colourful papers (origami)
-Double tape.
How to:
Stick the double tapes at the postition you want the stones to be.
And then cut the papers to as circle as possible and no need to be perfect. Also the paper size need to be almost the exact same as the stones.
Put those papers on the double tapes.
Price : about 10-30$/more, depends on what kind idk.
Edit: if you use white paper for the stones then you need anything to colour it.
Probably end up about the same price-wise, but yes, good tips for people who can't find the plastic gems in their area.

If you have a JoAnn Fabrics, Hobby Lobby, or Michael's near you, you can probably find most of what you need. If not, there's always Amazon too.
What is puffy paint
It's paint that dries 3D. It's also sometimes called scribbles or 3D fabric paint.
You should do a black panther project
Yeah, I can add him to my to-do list. I did a Black Panther helmet a couple years ago, but it didn't turn out very well, so I might upgrade that, and do the rest of the suit.

I was able to get everything for about $15, but it will depend a bit on what prices are in your area.

They are honestly pretty easy to make if you give it a try. You can even substitute cardboard for the craft foam if you don't have that. (And I'm planning to be back taking costume/prop orders later in the year sometime)

Since you are the craft queen tell me... I want to make one but I was going to use a yellow cleaning glove to make it and Velcro the stones on there! Would that work? Also can you make a thanos armour? Thanks! #PeaceOut
As long as you find a Velcro glue that sticks to the kitchen glove well enough, that should work. I'll add Thanos armor to my to-do list.

It would be nice if you can make a Spiderman suit, not the one tom holland wore for Homecoming, but the one Toby Maguire wore. I think his suit is cool, especially since the webbing on his suit pops out more.
Yup, I'll add the Maguire suit to my to-do list. I agree, I love the 3D webbing on Toby's suit (I even put it on the Holland suit, since I thought it was a little too flat without it).

Yup, Marvel's awesome! I definitely like DC too (I always need my Raven fix, lol), but Marvel just has so many great ones, and they totally nail it with their movies.

Where's the template?
I didn't make a template for this one, since they're mostly just rectangles and ovals, fairly easy to cut freehand. Just lay the pieces over your gloves, and cut out the basic shape. Then you'll have pieces that fit your specific glove perfectly.

This is great, but the placement of the gems is wrong
Yup, I know. I had to rearrange the placement a bit because my big gem was the purple one, so it made more sense to put that one on the back center.
It's really annoying that the gems are in the wrong order
I explained why in the video...The purple one was longer than the others, so I changed the order. But as long the all the stones are there in some order, it should still be able to wipe half the universe 😉
This has to be the 2nd best made infinity gauntlet apart from one that is made from cardboard.

Yup, you can, you just have get those transparent paints to do it with (I didn't have any hand), otherwise regular paint will be too thick and they won't look like gems anymore.

Yeah, my purple gem was the big one, so I had to put that one on the back side, and so then I had to change the order of the other gems to make up for it.

Yeah I know. I mentioned it in the video that I changed the order. Since my purple gem was the long one, that one had to go on the back in the middle.
Oh, and by the way, what you did with the puffy paint thingy, do you create your own design or design it from a real gauntlet, and did it take you like 10 or 12 minutes, It looks like it took you like a long time.
It was kinda half my own design, half what was on the gauntlet. I'm not good enough to totally recreate what was on the real gauntlet, so I kind of did a simplified version on mine with the puffy paint. It took me around half hour to puffy paint everything.
