Take it as a loss. These big corporations take from their consumers all the time. It's not the right thing to do, but they just beat these corporations at their own game.
That’s a lie!! Cashiers questioned coupons all the time! 🤦🏽♀️ I can’t understand how no one had any problems with her coupons but will give folks a hassle with legit coupons!
People like this are heroes. I have worked for all the corporations that screw their slaves over every day. And still abuse them if being thieves. As long as they were nice to cashier, tip and all the things that make our society so great then there not bad people. They just outsmarted the pos corporations and I'm down with that, because I'm tired of people calling in on my days off and then calling in on my vacation week when I cover their shit all the time. And they don't get fired, they're applauded. Hell with that.
It doesn't make sense for coupons to have the same barcode and of course with the same barcode from the same company issuing the coupons it will scan through without beeping. 🤔 I'm guessing if it scans it stands.
When she says 'retailers lost 31.8 million dollars because of this scam' that doesn't mean the couple MADE 31.8 million dollars. First of all, any business has overhead costs. But a lot of that money retailers lost could have been from paying investigators.
The corporations that complain 31 million dollars in losses are the same ones that throw away their products and food even before it’s expiration date. Don’t get me wrong what this couple did was wrong. However, what the rich have been doing in avoiding to pay for shit is even worse than this and it’s only been able to do cause it’s “legal”. While we make the rich and corporations avoid spending money because of what’s “legal” and prevent the normal people from it as well. You see my problem?
Pretty crazy! Working in fast food we get the occasional people whom try and use a picture of a legit paper coupon on they're phone. Some get upset that we cant take them, cheap customers are the worst at times.
They're not free if they aren't legit. She high end printers and legit barcodes. Look at The Con on ABC season 2 episode 5. She had a high end operation.
As someone who has worked retail, don't feel sorry for these people, this is not one little 10 or 20 off your total, they are making coupons and doing mail fraud to get orders completely free, they rack it up too, the feds let you rack up your scam for thousands of dollars before they arrest u as well so your punishment will be more severe
This lady could have used her talents & smarts in a legitimate way. Why go criminal? You'll get caught eventually w/c happened in this case. It's not worth the criminal record & lost reputation, lost time with your kids & family.
those two are not mutually exclusive. thieves can be creative and creative can be thieves. most corporations are creatives and thieves at the same time.
"According to a release from the Department of Justice, 41-year-old Lori Ann Talens and her husband, 43-year-old Pacifico Talens......." The hispanic husband and wife lived in Virginia Beach.
p.p.printing q-pons, when my grandmother used a printer. Wait, my grandfather was a printer. No! I mean, printing coupons can be dangerous and many people go to prison everyday.... Look Folks, This couple is the reason why you all pay more for everything, but i love the smell of her hair, reminds me of...??? Uh??? - Joe Biden 😎

Corporations don't steal your money, you literally chose to give it to them.
That’s a lie!! Cashiers questioned coupons all the time! 🤦🏽♀️ I can’t understand how no one had any problems with her coupons but will give folks a hassle with legit coupons!
But if the coupon scans they except it. This couple made coupons that actually worked.
The cashiers only questioned coupons if it beeps!
This is NUTS. Angela is a little too hyped up over this story.🤣
Yea. A bit weird lol
I think she's just excited that they finally gave her a chance at a real story instead of the nonsense they have her covering

All the security is in the bank notes and credit cards... they forgot about coupons!
This is just like the movie “Queenpins”!! 😆
Soooooooo, now prices will rise again and the corporations will blame it on this...
so she created her own barcodes?
"The large print giveth and the small print taketh away."

Now it's going to get even harder to coupon legitimately. Scammers suck!
The lawyer seems to have too much caffeine 😂
and less eyebrows
Corporations are never victims.

I was recently given several coupon books by a local cop. Little did he know they were counterfeit.

Wow. I don't even know how to coupon lol

It would be a big law suit if companies sold expired products.

Where there is a will there is a way! 😂
I hope I’m never that desperate and (or) dingy in my life that I would even try this! Wow! This lady is something else…🧐🤨
Who tf BUYS coupons? They're free!
They were like free items stuff
if you buy a coupon for $20. You can go get an item for $70. Saving $50. So your grocery List used to be $1000, it can now be $200. Simple.

" You need to calm down!" Your way to loud!
Free food, we don't have to work, just give out coupons, modus operandi.
What's gonna happen to all the people who bought the fake coupons? 🤔
Maybe if food prices weren't so over inflated these people wouldn't have to do this to buy food. The retailers and supplier's make big profits.
She was smart
Coupons weren’t fake
Some Money hungry couple 🤑
