- As of early May 2016, the Alaska SeaLife Center is caring for seven sea otters, including two pups that require round-the-clock care. For reasons scientists don’t fully understand, otters are showing up sick, dying or distressed in unprecedented numbers. Last year there were more than 300 reports in the region, according to U.S. Fish and Wildlife. In this video, staff of the SeaLife Center in Seward introduce some of the otters and talk about what it takes to care for them before they can be transferred to a permanent home at a zoo elsewhere. I'm one of those people that cannot visit . There is no aquarium near my home that I can see these adorable animals . They have been my favorite animals all my life an I was in the hospital and played up at home with an illness and thank God Joey the Sea Otter was a video star and I watch all the time I could

Mak & Kunik? Are they the 2 floofs together! I saw "buggy" eyes...(sorry Kunik lol) and saw "Kachemak" (big Mak's location) written on the board...they're 4 now...living the life at VanAqua
Yes! Baby boy and baby girl in the crib are indeed our beloved Mak and Kunik 🦦🧡
@@Woug oh my goodness, babies Mak, and Kunik at VanAqua, BC.
Agnes was here 😮
So cute
Abandoned sea otter pups is a ridiculous occurrence! Sea otter Mom's can spend hours searching for food. Folks "rescuing" an abandoned pup is likely Not! Its a pup who's Mom is 99% looking for food and will return. Can you imagine a Mom returning with food after all her efforts and finding her pup Gone! It probably affects her life tremendously! Yet the humans feel so good about their rescue...Sad!
humans constantly screw up the ecosystem, yet put a positive spin on everything to get likes on social media! Sick!
