About 16 years or so I was on a cruise headed to Cabo and I was out on the deck just walking around looking at how beautiful and so serene the waters were as the moon shown down. I saw something out of the corner of my eye and I turned to look and I saw 3 giant whales swimming along side the ship. They would go under water, come up shooting water from their "blow holes" and as I looked around me on the deck I couldn't believe that I was the ONLY person witnessing this incredible event. I just stood there and watched these magnificent creatures swimming beside us. It remains to this day the most incredible and a definite chance of a lifetime. Amazing! I love whales, and sharks, and dolphins, and anything else that lives in the ocean! I had an encounter with a tiger shark in Truk Lagoon, I guess it is called Chuuk now. So I was diving all the WWII wrecks in the lagoon. My partner and I were in a Japanese Hero (sp?). It was set aside for divers to enter and sit in the pilot seat, take photos, etc. I was in the pilot seat, partner behind me in the back seat. He freaked me out when he started to scream and point to the window. A large grayish eye was staring at me- now I freaked out, but I did not scream out - who wants to draw attention of a tiger shark! He kept on his merry way and he kept passing my window, and passing the window - it seemed like forever to pass the window. He was huge! I cannot tell you how long he was - others who saw this and were hiding in any part of the reef they could said he was 10 feet, no 15 feet. Regardless, it was the most exiting, reverential, and scary encounter I have ever had!!
I believe the message was that, though we may be experts in certain animal's behavior, we still aren't totally knowledgeable of the kind of message/conversation the animals are having with us. The best thing about this story is that the whales were even thinking of her safety more than the marine biologist's capability/expertise of protecting them. It's really awesome. I guess it was a necessity for the narrator to design the storytelling this way just to overemphasize that fact. Cool!

While halibut fishing in Prince William, Alaska on a 60’ boat, a whale came up within 5’ of it and stayed near while a large pod of about a dozen was feeding about half mile away from us. You really don’t realize the scale until you’re right next to it...the portion sticking out the water was as large as a bus. The captain was great and slowly steered the boat away from the group and we continued to catch our limit.

To even say that I was honored is a huge under statement.
I appreciate the back story but it was too long winded
All these people complain about the length of time the narrative took! I completely appreciate the help the whales gave her and that’s the only thing that’s important! Everyone complaining probably have never experienced near death experiences and those of us who have take life a bit slower and savor life and stories like this a bunch !
Most painful stretching of a video to get past 10 min. I've ever seen.
The whale understands she helps them and is now protecting her.
2 min video dragged out to ten plus mins only to say the whale saved her from a shark.. damn was a ten min video really necessary?
UA-cam rewards videos that are 10+ mins long as they keep people on the site for longer so UA-camrs that have short videos stretch them out to a minimum of 10 minutes.
"Nan realized, after getting onto the boat..." [video clip of young woman at home looking at her camera.] lol
The story was very interesting but dang it this was like a filibuster.
I really liked the video!! The narrator didn’t even bothered me.
'Animals' are mysteriously incredible!
animals are so more keenly aware of their surroundings and we are just like young children and oblivious to the real world around us. it's a beautiful relationship GOD has designed
Thanks for taking 10 minutes to say what could have been said in 1.5 minutes!
She was frightened because she had never seen anything like that before. She was afraid as she had never in her life experienced something like that. She was fearful because she was witnessing something she hadn't ever witnessed before. She was very scared because she had no idea what would happen since she had never had something like that happen. She was terrified of what could happen because it was something that had never happened to her before.
Hi, person scrolling through the comments! Have a great rest of your day🤠
Thx also your prof pic looks weird
You have a great rest of you're day too
Wow how did this comment boom up quick lol
Ha! Thanks!
Who are you people?
Cool story. Wish news channels would report on things like this instead of the negative.
Amazing story. People like this show the world we can't see. Thank you
WOW, I think it was a wonderful story. And he told it with such enthusiasm. What else does anyone have to run to. We're in a pandemic for goodness sake. I thought it was a breath of fresh air. A light in the DARKEST moment in American history. PEACE.
It may have felt like hours to Nan but this narrator make this feel like hours, too.
GET ON WITH IT!!!
iv loved dolphins & whales ever since is was a child, they are so inteligent
As soon as i beard this guys voice, i just knew there was no point watching. He will NOT get to the point so i just skipped it.
There's supposed to be a point?😳
Family family high ✋✋✋✋ I here you wasted my time 😂😂😂😂😂
lmao once i saw it was 10 minutes i was like nope
Really liked this video! Never realized whales/sharks were quite that large...scary thought!
Too long.
He needs to stretch it beyond 10 minutes to get the full add revenues. That is why most most items take 10:03.
That's awesome... I can't imagine such an encounter with such amazing animals. That is definitely priceless! 💞
It really is!
C’mon guys, the narrator just wants you to get the feel of being Nan. She said the 10 minutes encounter felt like hours. There you go
You deserve a medal for padding that out
Uhh u expect people to read all that?!
I read it! Very exciting and interesting story❣
@@kourtneyhook9187 Try harder Kourtney, you can do it!
Plane is a Zero.
I like how the whale keeps changing from a whale shark into a humpback every five seconds or so. Amazing metamorphosis.
These are intelligent, friendly, creatures. Let's give 'em a break!
Cool!
Grateful to the guardians of the sea

10 minutes and 39 seconds of my life I will never get back ,going to have to make a mental note of this channel ,its not the first time they have dragged a story out, anyway on to the next UA-cam video, hope everyone is having a good day.
7:53 for anybody contemplating suicide at the narration.
Thx
@@xmo552 we have to help each other during these times 😀

That's what I always say
If you love the nature, the nature will love you back.
She is my hero.💖
Tiger sharks can grow to 25 feet?... I didn't know that... pretty sure no one else knows that either
7:47 Sharks are not the only creatures that move their tail side to side. ALL fish do that.
WOW!!!! AMAZING STORY AND RESCUE!!!!!💖🐳🐋
8 mins of my life that I will never get back! Did this really had to be dragged out for over 8 mins before getting to the point! My interest was shattered!
Why hello Facts Verse. Thank you so much! I love this ❤️ channel. Especially when it's as interesting an informative as this installment was.
Narrator says she finally sees a creature with its tail swimming side to side. Yet they previously showed a whale shark which I’m assuming swims with a side to side tail as well.
Whales and Dolphins are such majestic creatures
I really love this channel but only wish they don’t drag the story out for so long 😕 I usually go straight to the comments to see what the video is about .
When I was 13yrs old my dad I when on a boat ride...our boat start shaking when a baby whale nose when up to me than again this time around I saw her or him pretty eyes so I grab it & 💋 her or him it came up again for another 💋 to say I love you tooooo....I will NEVER forget
Lucky!😊
