    When we are truly baptized by The Holy Spirit it is then that we become effective witnesses for Christ. Thank you Pastor Alan Jackson for telling the truth, God's truth, His word. Our nation needs to hear these words.

    Thank you, Allen. My wife and I are baptised with the Holy Spirit and many of the gifts cited in 1 Cor. 12:8-10 and Rom. 12:6-8. She received 45+ years ago, me 25+ (shortly after we were married). What an incredible change it has brought to our relationship with Christ, our faith, our confidence, etc. Recently the Lord showed me something very humbling; we're both approaching 70 and have more than a few aches and pains. Naturally, we pray for healing of the worst of our ailments - but we've always stopped short of asking for the gift of healing, because it would interrupt our introverted and solitary - private - lifestyle. As I was praying for healing for my wife's chronic pain, I saw the scripture "freely ye have received, freely give" in a new light - in as much as I was asking for her healing - but not the gift to heal others - which would be to give as we have received. In effect, we were asking to receive for ourselves with no intent to give freely to others in return. So we've begun to pray for healing together with the gift of healing for others - and ask for the Father to interrupt our cloistered lives with the hungry, the lame, the needy - together with all the gifts we need to minister to them and set them free as He has done for us. Also, for the gift of impartation which I believe is the better translation of the word "giving" in Romans 12:6-8 - least ways in the context of the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts. We've been blessed to lay hands on just a few believers to receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit and see them receive - how we would love to be more used to that end as we close out our walk with the Lord. Blessings Allen! Jack and Karen

    TRUTH !
    Throw in "don't be weird" and then start waking up other "Churched people" and "Christians" to be Christ Followers. If we repent, then together we can pull others from the fire ❤ and grow the Big C church during this time of big trouble in the world. 😊👍

    This is wild! In the midst of my severe alcohol addiction, I received a spiritual baptism. It's been two years since then and I have just come to the point of being able to break the chain. All this time I've been seeking to fully understand what happened that day. Without searching, this word came to me, from a pastor that I sat with almost 20 years ago. Praise God!

      Amen! The Lord is awakening people. Praise God! It's amazing (I want to say amazing grace) that God can see us through a time if we are willing and receptive. We'll pray for you that you are successful on your journey to serve God.

    Yes, you are right. What is in our direct future will require more faith and wisdom from the Holy Spirit than at any time in the past history of the Church. I truly believe you would benefit from reading my book on Biblical and Islamic prophecy. J.M.M.

    I have been baptized in water and believe that the Holy Spirit indwells me. However, based on this sermon, since I have not been "baptized in the Holy Spirit," I do not have the Holy Spirit. How do you understand Eph 4:5, "One Lord, one faith, one baptism?" If Holy Spirit baptism is how one receives the Holy Spirit, then water baptism would not be the moment that the Holy Spirit comes to circumcise our hearts and take up residence within us. Which "baptism" (according to the teaching of two different baptisms) is the "one baptism" to which Paul is referring?

      No One is Baptized with The Holy Spirit Until they are Washed by The Blood of The Lamb ( Matthew 3: 11 ) No One Comes to Christ Except The Father Calls ( John 6:44 ) If You Feel His Voice Tugging on Your Heart, Ask Forgiveness. You Will be Washed by The Blood of The Lamb, You Will be Baptized with The Holy Spirit, You Will be Changed ( 2Corinthians 5:17 ) You Will Know, Impossible Not to. Read The Bible Daily, The Holy Spirit Will Teach and Guide You as You Read. Tell Others what Christ has Done in Your Life and how You were Saved and how They can be. By Doing These Things You Will Become Stronger and Draw Closer to The Lord

    The Holy Spirit baptism is how the Holy Spirit is recieved by the believer and must be prayed for after repentance and water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ.
    There are only three references in scripture to where it is recorded that believers recieved the Holy Spirit and what happened the moment that they recieved. The first thing that happened when they recieved the Holy Spirit is that they spoke in 'tongues"( Acts ch.2,10,and ch.19).
    Speaking in "tongues" is actually speaking in one spiritual language.

    Baptism is an act of obedience. There is no Spirit baptism. There is Spirit regeneration when you ask Christ into your heart and life. Speaking in tongues had a purpose. There were many different languages being spoken in the crowd the apostle Paul spoke one language that everyone could understand. Today people speak in tongues without an interpreter it's nothing but gibberish.

    • @robertnieten7259
      @robertnieten7259 Рік тому

      Paul said," When i pray in a tongue my spirit prays but my understanding is unfruitful.."(1Cor.14:14)
      In other words Paul is saying that when his spirit prays he doesn't understand what he is saying.
      When we pray in our native language its source is our mind, but if the source is our spirit then it is a spiritual language.

    This is what the charismatic movement in the '70's. Believers were hungry for MORE of God working in their lives. It require Total surrender and making Jesus Christ the Lord of your life.
