Just back from 10 days Iceland trip. Total cost 1.3 lacs all inclusive like return tickets, travel insurance, visa. Not taking anything away from her travel, I plan my entire travel and visa process as well which is easy and self explanatory. Self driving 4*4 rental car. Stayed in lovely cottages, apartments via air bnb (full cottage) and fun hostels. No need to go via any tour operator, it is one of the most safest country. Had a fantastic time.
Same here just came back from a 8 day self drive trip from Iceland .. infact it was part of the bigger trip for 16 days covering Sweden and Norway .. the cost for entire trip for 16 days including airfare, visa, insurance etc was 180000.... Did majorly airbnb’s and hostel for just two nights in 16 days ...
I agree, no need to hire any planner. If in this present era of internet and information, we can't self plan our trips then when can we. All information is available over internet, and airbnb is a superb way to stay in a country. Self planned trips are way cheaper then tour agent planned trips. Planned my trips to Europe and Singapore, and all well wiithin budget. @swati, I think you should make a video or blog on .iceland tour as you are the ideal person to do so, I am planning a trip next year. It will be helpful for people like me.
Iceland for 2 weeks Campervan $2500 Flights $2800 ( 3 people ) Gas $500 ( 1400 miles ) We ate out and ate food in the van about the same percentage. Food was easily $1000-$1500 Tours $300 We planned more tours but gas charges were doubled on our cards and did not drop off in time. Estimated, $7100 to $7500. August 17-31st 2022 We Did see puffins, northern lights You don’t have to come in winter to see the northern lights.
I randomly watched this video bcz I am a big fan of Iceland and your information made my conscious more clear and certain to visit Iceland ASAP. Thanks alot for sharing the info.
Hey Namesake! Very informative vlogs (watched all the 4) and this one too. Heading to Iceland next week and your videos have made me all the more excited. Looking forward to this Vacation.
Great video, I did a backpacking and Hitchhiking and total cost was 9 thousand for 15 days which includes, food, accomodation (couchsurfing and camping ) + local transport.. :)), I am encouraged to share my video story too now from Iceland. Cheers!
Love your iceland vlog!! I did the campervan route and it was definitely the cheapest way to do it. We also stocked up with groceries at Costco in Reykjavik before setting off on our ring road trip around the entire country! I just got back from Iceland and I’m in the middle of posting my Iceland vlog series as well :)
please do more of such videos......its very informative since planning a trip from India to such destination is nerve wrecking. Also, not many people do a video on how to plan a tour but they do vlogs and only vlogs.....great work...keep going
I did the golden circle ( 9 days ) trip in 55k all inclusive. Basically, did everything that you mentioned in the later half of the budget section + my in-out flights were from Germany.
Absolutely! I've been looking to plan a trip to Iceland myself and this helps a lot! Specially with the tour company you mentioned. So yea, thanks once again! :)
Just happen to see you Iceland vlogs... Absolutely fantastic ❣️. Great shooting, audio quality and video length. One more of my fav Indian travel vloggers.
You did a great job in expalining all these in such a short span of time. Even though you were fast but was very clear. I think laying down a list of priorities before a trip is very important and you covered that very well. I had been to Iceland in last year during 1st week of december with the intent to see northern lights and was fortunate enough to see it for three consecutive days. It was a great experience.
COULD ANYONE GUIDE AS THERE IS ONE STOP OR 2 STOP FLIGHTS AVAILABLE, DO I NEED MULTIPLE VISA, IF SINGLE VISA THAN WILL THEY CHARGE ANY AMOUNT FOR GETTING DOWN IN HEATHROW OR RUSSIA OR NORWAY. I AM TALKING ABOUT 1 STOP AND 2 STOPS INVOLVING MULTIPLE AIRLINES
I think 💭 I missed the train 🚞 because the driver (Miss Kritika) was flying the train 🚆 without even knowing that we general public can’t listen so fast 😅
I have a connecting flight from Mumbai to Iceland(Reykjavík). There is a layover in Turkey and Denmark. Will I need a separate TRANSIT visa or the existing Iceland Schengen visa will work?
Hi kritika I have a question..you told that flight was 95k and Nordic was 125 k per person...then how did total cost come 350000 per person..what are these extra expense?
I understand Kritika has many sponsors tie ups but really there’s no need for an agent for planning a trip to Iceland or Europe in general. Every bit of info is available online. With 3.5 lacs you can actually do a month long Europe trip including Iceland and still you’d have money left if you plan smartly by yourself.
Thank u so much Kritika,,,Iceland is one in my bucket list,,I was looking for some 1 who has actually went there and experienced,,specially the info about expenses
@@KritikaGoel Your videos seems unreal. Just noticed this video on my feed and I have already subscribed and saved most of your videos to watch in my leisure. KUDOS ❤️

@@KritikaGoel love every of your vlog.. Do check our channel too.. #The_Karbi_vlog.. (Tkv). Thnx..wish u good health so that u can travel the whole world n upload more videos..tc.. 👍👍👍👍👍
That’s a very expensive trip that u did. But I guess that’s because u hired an agency to do all the booking and they took a hefty fees. An Iceland trip for 10 days can be done in 1.25-1.50 lacs PP all inclusive. Of course this doesnot include hotel stays, only hostel and Airbnb stays. But then the idea is to see Iceland OR hotel?😊.
I’m sure they do charge a fee and it’s cheaper to do it on your own (that’s how we usually plan trips) but since it’s so expensive, we wanted everything planned beforehand by someone who knew the place better than we did :) So I suppose you pay extra for comfort. And we chose the least expensive hotel option since we weren’t going to be in hotels much but accommodation in general there is crazy expensive.
Hi. These are the expenses from self drive trips. How about expenses for group travel ?? Are those lower or same in Iceland ?? Can anyone suggest any group travel since I don't drive.
Reaching Iceland next week for my solo road trip and I normally vlog and upload every night same day. Cannot wait to reach! BTW, what food did you carry ? My wife has packed maggi, biscuits and peanut butter, as I always carry this same during my road trips!
Hey! Have a good trip :) We took these ready to eat Indian meals from this company called Ezee Eats. And we carried some noodles, and snacks and stuff like khakhras lol
