- Test of the Faller Car System 161674 Parkplatz.
The permanent magnet inserted in the plywood roadbed
will stop indefinitely the vehicle without the need of a power supply.
A big solenoid is placed under the roadbed .
I used two screws and two nuts I had in a drawer to fix the solenoid .
Powered by the accessory 16vAC output of my Märklin regulator,
I have used a pushbutton and wired a lamp in parallel to show you when I send the pulse.

Is this what parking system in Faller can do? this is pure random stopping. nothing more.
Thank you for your comment ! Yes this parking system is only a static magnet and a solenoid to drive the reed contact into the vehicle. You must add some electronics to give it more intelligence. There are specific Faller modules to do this.

@@mrengineer1234 parking system has a static magnet that stops cars permanently without energy then you send energy to the coil to start the vehicle . Stop system doesn’t have a permanent magnet and you have to power the coil to stop the vehicle.
Hi, how long can this stop faller 161674 stay active? my table is 15mm thick can it fit? did you also connect a resistor in series or can you do without it?
Hello. As written in the manual, 161674 must be powered only for 1 or 2 seconds. And the thickness of the table must be from 3mm to 16mm. For me I used screws and nuts to secure it instead of the supplied wood screws. And I did not use any resistor, if I remember . I used the AC output of my train regulator and a pushbutton.
@@2mes2mains but isn't the purpose of the faller 161674 to make the vehicle park longer than the stopp-stellen? 1-2 seconds of rest seems very few to me!! if I want to make a toy car stop for 2 minutes and then restart, isn't it feasible?

@@BARRY77fullgas the stop function is done by a permanent magnet placed upon the park section. So no need to power it to stop. The start function is done by powering the coil placed under the park section. So the power is only needed to start a vehicle during 1 or 2 seconds
161674 do not need current to stop a vehicle and need current to start a vehicle 161675 need current to stop a vehicle and do not need current to start a vehicle.
@@2mes2mains in practice, if I give current to the coil, the permanent magnet goes down and the vehicle starts? if I want to stop the vehicle a second time, do I power the coil 1-2 seconds does the magnet rise and the vehicle stop? I hope I understood correctly. I need a specific video tutorial on this thing..

Hello, I wanted to ask you one last piece of information: at the end of the work when it will be necessary to apply the filler on the road, can it be easily passed on the various switches and coils (161675 etc..) or must something be applied first? like a cardboard or a circle of thin plastic, to ensure that they do not get dirty with the putty?

@@BARRY77fullgas The permanent magnet does not move. it stops the vehicle passing above. When you give power (during 1 to 2 seconds) to the coil located below, it creates a magnetic field in the opposite direction which cancels the effect of the permanent magnet and makes the vehicle start. That's all.
