Do you know your genealogy? My ggg grandmother was born in Tahiti in 1791 during the time the Europeans (The Bounty) and other ships were sailing to Tahiti and my Grandfather born in Scotland came to Tahiti on that ship and met my grandmother and they married and 1 baby girl. My grandfather drowned on the Pandora ship when he went out to see and then shortly after my grandmother who was born in Tahiti died of grief. Their baby became Orhaned and was raised by her grandfather Chief Tippaoo. As a child she went out on Voages and when she came to California and met a man started the next 6 generations In California which led to me. I moved to Tennessee as a child with my mother and had 6 children here so I ended my blood line in California. But my hair is like yours and I appreciate it so much, I also have the same body type as short petite tahition women with big hips
Samoans generally strike me as the most pure Polynesian-blooded of all the Pacific Islanders. I'm sure there are a number of mixed Samoan ppl around, but while I could be wrong, most Samoans are PURE POLYNESIAN types. Samoan WOMEN routinely pick average adult men up like they're a sack of potatoes, and those BIIIIIIG ole women you can tell are some pure powerful Samoan bloodlines happening there. I respect them for it, though while I'm a strong man myself, I damn sure still don't want a GF who gets a bit drunk, then decides she's gonna hoist my 220 pound self over her shoulder?! FUCK THAT. I'm gonna go for a more feminine chick over in the Cook Islands ;)
Samoans are wholesome people, funny characters but strong headed especially the females. Although poly myself not Samoan but CookIslander, I wouldn't get cheeky to a Samoan girl, unless you wana go flying out the window 😬

Hey we are all different. My dad has black straight hair. His 2 brothers same mom and dad 1 has black afro and the other has red afro. It is what it is. Many polys have afro hair not just Melanesians. Prob from similar ancestors.
Turning long silky hair into curly bushy hair will always be a hassle... Most Tahitians/CookIslanders/Maoris have European and Asian DNA and that explains why... Where as most Polynesians who haven't intermixed and are the most fluent in their languages Like Samoans and Tongans tend to have hair that maintains its texture and does not need curly maintenance... When I look at someone who with pure Polynesian features/hair etc I can tell they were born into rich ancestry and culture.
DudeSerious777 Every race including European&Asian has a rich ancestry & culture; it’s not just the Islanders of the Pacific. Just cause someone is mixed doesn’t mean their ancestry & culture is diluted. In my opinion it enriches the person that they get to be brought up with a mixture of cultures. As long as they are taught well. I know a lot of half caste Islanders who were brought up in the islands and are more fluent & more knowledgeable & immersed in their island language & culture than full blooded ones.
DudeSerious777 Not really true. Opinions aren't facts tho. Yes Tahiti is a melting pot, but so is Polynesia n general. It's like you are saying that if you are not full blooded/pure you are less. Yes many Tahitians are mixed with Chinese or European blood due to being under France, and having a fair share of Chinese immigrants, but as a hairdresser I can tell you that genetics are a lottery. You never know what you get. Sometimes certain traits skip a generation or two. No one is 100% pure. We are all human. BUT if you wanna talk ancestry, I hope you are aware that it has been proven a long time ago by DNA, animals and plants as well as humans, and linguistic studies that the ancestors of the Polynesians migrated from main land Asia. We are all one. Just devided by colonial brainwash, racism, and ignorance as well as religion and politics.
Ughm Fiji Tonga and American Samoa has their share of mixed European and Asian blood in them! I know many Samoans from the independent state that are pure blood. Yet Samoa 🇼🇸 too does have German and Chinese mixtures within families per day.
