I played this game religiously at the Ocean County Mall in Toms River, NJ. My mom would hand me some money and she would go to JC Penny, Bamburgers, Macys, etc. while I just stood there playing for hours. One of my all time favorites
In the 80s in Japan, my older brother invited me to sneak out of the house in the middle of the night without our parents knowing, and we went to the arcade to play this game. It was incredibly fun.
My cousin and I would play this for hours back in the early 80s at the old Milford Rec arcade in CT. We always called the tubby opponent "Patty Beefcake". So much fun and so many memories.
I love this game too, but I NEVER remember it being THIS easy. The one in our local arcade rarely ever gave the player character the chance to get a move on. It was always the bad guys just thrashing us. The big guy sure hated having that rabbit killer thrown on him though!
I’m pretty sure the NES port of this game sampled the voices directly from the arcade version. The NES actually had really good sampling capabilities (though many early games that featured voice “spoke” in a Japanese accent, such as the guy yelling “FIYAH!!!” in Wild Gunman, due to the “voice actor” just being some rando at the game studio)
The nutter was the simplest move, but perhaps most effective. It almost never failed. You’d have to dish out a lot of nutters, but you’d still win the round. The advanced moves were tempting to use, but you were better served going with the nutter.
I loved this game. My go-to moves were the Rabbit Killer and W. Lariat. Never let the opponent tag out when he gets tired.
I love this game!!! Such great memories playing it in Ocean City and Wildwood NJ!!!!

Thanks for posting this! I had forgotten about the "rabbit killer" move! My personal best was reaching Round 22 back in the day! -- CreekSider1
Nice to see the names of the moves.
I've always wondered what the heck a nutter is. That's a move I don't think I've ever seen in a professional wrestling match.
By the looks of it, it's a headlock whilst smacking your opponent in the head... or giving him a "noogie"
