I have a suggestion Mark, and that is to read 1st paragraph first, then questions quickly, then the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs, again questions quickly, and finally the last paragraph. please notice that at the second and third time of going over the questions less time is required because you already have some of them answered. This really works for me.

In my opinion, reading speed and comprehension could be improved through regular reading of both printed and electronic materials in English. If one spends at least 1.5 hours every day actively reading any material, in the persons reading speed and comprehension would eventually improve. Moreover, such a person's vocabulary would also improve due to regular reading.
Mark , you are awesome! I apply your strategy to do the Reading for information test n it works extremely well. I got 10 in Reading n all the credits go to you! Will buy you a coffee! Once again, thank you for the sharing n coaching!
I think i would love to see you do a reading video where you would stick to the time as in the actual exam and get the answers right because reading is my major challenge in this test because i am very slow at reading and if i try to read fast i can but i will lose the understanding of what i am reading.
Very much appreciated for making this video, great tips you have there. Thank you so much. This task out of all the reading is the most difficult tasks i have trouble with. Thanks and wish me luck with my Celpip test in a week time. :)
Hi Mark, I am really thankful for your writing structure for task 1 and task 2. I scored 11 with a practice of 1 week before my exam. Those pre-defined structures really gave me an edge in my writing part. Keep up the good work!
reading subtitles of the TV series "Sherlock" and/or reading the vanishing news headlines at the train stops can both help you to practice reading faster.
In my experience, i failed two times in reading 😊 I know is not to late to cover up for the third round Celpip examination I started now to read the newspapers like star metro because is not bulky and updating news hopefully I can make this time 😊🙏🏻
I am really slow reader, so I am worried about lack of time. In my opinion, I start improving the ability of skimming and glancing to look for key sentences, phrases or words. In additon, pharaphrazing ability is also important to get an answer quickly.
Thank you Mark. I just took two- three sessions of your tutorials and got 9,9,10,9 in exam. Guess I could have saved $100 that I put in to buy the exam material!
In my opinion, first of all, the best way to improve reading speed and comprehension is to have such a goal. After the goal is clear we can proceed forward and try to see what is logically going to help us with that. I personally would prefer to start with reading any English book according to the estimation of my reading level and vocabulary. Being honest with myself I simply start reading the material I can handle and writing down all the unknown words for making my vocabulary more advanced. Also, it is very important to keep on going to my goal and never give it up, knowing that practice in every aspect of my life will make my endeavor perfect. These are the methodological principles I would use in improving my reading speed and comprehension. Thank you, Mark for your videos! They are very helpful.
In my opinion to improve reading and comprehension, atleast read 1 hour a day and listen to someone or a video thats all about english.. In that case a person who can hardly read english can remember about the english word easily.
Hi Mark I really need a lot of reading practice test from your video because I tooked the exam last August 18 but sad to say I just get the ff scores 6-4-6-6 and I really disappointed because i only lacked one point for my reading test, but anyways your video really helps a lot during my exam especially the strategies you've been imparted with, hoping that for the 2nd time I will be doing great and can be proud of myself that I did it, have a nice day ahead....
Can any one in this thread or Mark..can u pls tell me will they provide any notepad or paper to write something if I wish??then I am gonna write at least four questions first in shorthand while reafing them then start reading the passage..

You're right!
Hi Mark, I have a confusion in 3rd part of reading. In one of your videos, you've mentioned a strategy to read paragraph first then scan all the questions ; however, in this video you've recommended a strategy, where the questions are to be read first then the paragraphs. My question is which strategy is to be followed for getting answers quickly ?
I think you should use a different strategy for each of the four tasks. In my CELPIP reading book, I discuss each of the strategies. 😃
Okay thank you Mark !!!
Practice is the key to improve reading speed and comprehension. You need hard work and practice more exercises like these to be better on this topic.
You're right! 😃
