Koviou Beach - Halkidiki (Sithonia) - 2020

Koviou beach is a small and delightful beach just north of Kalogria. Because tourists head straight to Kalogria or Agios Ioannis to the North, little Koviou often gets passed on. The calm and shallow water makes this a perfect swimming beach and great for children.
There is beach organization from a hotel that exists behind the beach, so sun-beds and umbrellas can be rented by the day. There is also a beach bar and toilet facilities. Besides this set-up, Koviou is an open beach on either end and there is usually room to put up your own umbrella.
The sand is soft and this continues into the water so there is no need for water shoes. At the odd place in the water there are some large rocks, but these can easily be avoided. Along the shore to either end of the beach is a good place for snorkeling.
What’s great about Koviou Beach:
Shallow water great for families. Does not fill up like Kalogria beach.
And what’s not:
Unless you live close by you will need a car to get to this beach.
South of Nikiti 5 kilometers. After Agios Ioannis beach, the road turns left, this marks the North end of Koviou beach. Some park here and walk down. A little further there is a turn off to Hotel Makednos, follow this road to the beach.
