I've visited Newport Wales in summer of 2022 .I am a Japanese woman who has been living in the States for 36years. I walked there alone days & nights often & never felt unsafe .I loved Ridgeway area !! Cafe at the Ridgeway is a must visit place !! As well as St.julian's Inn pub during the daytime for the fantastic views !! I highly recommend both places !! People in Wales are so kind & everyone helped me whenever I had to ask for directions ! They even took me to my destinations with no hesitation at all !! I mean,literally they took me there each single time !! Who does that these days!? Maybe only Japanese & Welsh !!? Lol. Maybe Irish people do,too ? 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🏴💕💞
