The great irony is that everyone was insisting to Chuck "nah, no way Jimmy did this, and you're an asshole for assuming he did. You're so arrogant that you can't accept the possibility you might have made a mistake" despite about half of them literally knowing that Jimmy did exactly what Chuck was accusing him of and that Chuck was absolutely correct to be fiercely certain he hadn't made that mistake. The show sells the lie so hard that even the audience sides with Jimmy against Chuck, considering Chuck an asshole, despite the fact that we KNOW that Jimmy did everything Chuck said and would eventually become everything Chuck feared he would become. Knowing all this, we STILL hate Chuck. What makes this ironic is that Chuck literally died by gaslight.
The irony is that despite Chuck doing everything he can to keep Jimmy down, he only ensured Jimmy to make the choices that led to him who he was in BB. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy, but it doesn't excuse Jimmy from the actions he took.
Kim said the truth to Chuck's face, and he had no argument against that.
